Two-Start Pitchers
Kodai Senga, Mets (@CHC, @COL)
I know he's coming off a 12-strikeout performance against the Rays, but I'm worried about Senga this week. So far this season, we have season he doesn't like to pitch on the road. He has a 6.30 ERA in 20 innings away from New York this season. Now, he heads to Chicago and then finishes the week in Colorado. Neither matchup is ideal, and with how poorly Senga is pitching on the road, you have to sit him this week.
Dylan Cease, White Sox (@CLE, @DET)
Cease has looked completely different than he was last year. It looked like he could finish 2022 with a CY Young award, and now he is currently sitting with a 4.78 ERA and 1.39 WHIP this season. Yet despite these poor numbers, he is a definitely a two-start pitcher you want to leave in the lineup this week. The Guardians and Tigers are hitting .230 and .229 respectively as a team. This is one of those weeks that could really help Cease get back on track.
Alex Cobb, Giants (@MIN, @MIL)
Cobb has looked fantastic this season. Currently, the hard-throwing righty has a 1.94 ERA in 9 starts. However, this week he gets two matchups on the road against two solid offenses. He has a career 4.31 ERA on the road, and an even worse 5.60 career ERA against the Brewers. Despite Cobb's impressive first month and a half, he should probably be benched this week.

I'm starting to get excited about this kid. He started the season as a reliever, but with the Jacob deGrom injury, he was thrown back into a starting role. He's been exceptional ever since. In his last start against the Braves, he went 6 innings giving up just 1 run while striking out 4. He now has back to back quality starts and currently has a 1.69 ERA and 0.88 WHIP. There's a chance he's still on your waiver wire. Snag him and start him for this two-start week.
Bailey Ober, (SF, TOR)
Ober has been a revelation for the Twins. After losing Maeda, they needed someone to step up and he's done just that. So far, Ober has an impressive 1.78 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP this season. While he doesn't have the best matchups next week, Ober needs to remain in the lineup for his two starts. The 6 foot 9 righty has been able to keep his walk rate low while getting an impressive 98th percentile extension with his pitches. Start him up with confidence.
Mike Clevinger, White Sox (@CLE, @DET)
Just like his teammate above, Clevinger has the best matchups of any two-start pitcher this week. Both the Guardians and Tigers are close to the bottom in offensive rankings. The righty has also been on a nice hot streak lately. He's got at least 6 innings in last three starts, only giving up 15 hits while striking out 14. He's more of a stream option this week, as he doesn't have the roster percentages of a good fantasy player, but he's definitely a must start next week.
