2023 Fantasy Football Trade Targets

Welcome to our 2023 Fantasy Football Week 12 Trade Targets article.

We're rapidly approaching your trade deadline. You may THINK you have a little more than a month to do your holiday shopping. Sorry to tell you that, depending on your league, you probably only have another 10 more days of fantasy shopping remaining. Act now while supplies last.

As I've detailed here throughout the season, how you approach this is going to differ based on where you are in the standings. If I'm struggling to make the playoffs, I'm going to be pretty open to doing whatever is going to get me through the next few weeks to make sure I can make the postseason.

Some big bye weeks are coming up in Weeks 13 and 14. This looms large for teams on the bubble who will have to contend with bye weeks from some big fantasy players during this stretch. There are six teams on a bye in Week 13. You may have one of your best players out that week.

The time is now to make sure you solidify your plan for dealing with your bye week issues for the final weeks of the fantasy regular season. You want to be ahead of the game when it comes to managing your own team in this regard. But this also means there are tons of owners who are dealing with the same thing and there is opportunity for you.

Some owners are not going to realize the extent of their upcoming issues until that week arrives. Good. I'm going to say it, they don't deserve to be in the playoffs. You need to be proactive. Don't just look at your team's situation look at the other teams in your league down the stretch and how you can take advantage of their upcoming bye week issues.

There is no mercy in fantasy football. This is a brutal game we play and winning a championship requires a shift in thinking in how you approach things down the stretch. I'm going to highlight some big names below, many of which have been excellent most of the season but have hit more recent bumps in the road.

It's possible you won't be able to pull off trades for some of these players, but you may as well try. Fantasy owners can mistakenly panic over a short slump. If you continue to stoke the flames of their panic, you might be able to pull it off.

Let's go folks, time to get into warrior mode and make some trade proposals. You will have a condensed window this week with the Thanksgiving games.

Here are some trade targets you should be looking to acquire before Week 12.

If you're going big game hunting this week before your trade deadline, I love Stefon Diggs as a trade target this week.

Buffalo has looked pretty rough for a few weeks, a couple of which have been in primetime games. Over the last two games, Diggs has caught only seven of his 13 targets for 61 yards for a total of 13.1 points in a PPR league, failing to crack 35 yards receiving in each of them. It has been a frustrating last couple of weeks if you're a Diggs owner.

They now go on the road to Philly and then have a bye, so if the Diggs owner is struggling then you may be able to pry him away. They won't be selling low on him, you won't get much of a discount on him but that's not really the point. There just may be more of a willingness if you can offer something fair that helps get a Diggs owner who may be on the bubble through to the playoffs.
