2023 Fantasy Football Week 13 Waiver Wire

Hello Fantasy nerds! NFL Week 12 has wrapped up, so it is time to discuss the 2023 Fantasy Football Week 13 Waiver Wire!

What a wild ride Week 12 was. We had an action-packed week of Football with three Thanksgiving Day games, one game on Friday, and the regular slate of games on Sunday and Monday. Week 13 is on of the most important weeks in all of fantasy football as we creep closer to playoff time.

At this point of the season, every fantasy team is dealing with injuries or draft-day busts on their teams. That means the waiver wire is more imperative this week, especially with a whopping six teams on bye this week. We are missing guys from, Baltimore, Buffalo, Chicago, Minnesota, New York Giants and Las Vegas.

In this article, we will be targeting players on the waiver wire who are under 50% on the FantasyPros consensus roster percentage.

At this point in the season, we have gotten a larger sample size so it can be harder to find that waiver wire darling because the cupboards are bare. I am here to help with that. Now let's jump into the 2023 Fantasy Football Week 13 Waiver Wire!

Top Waiver Adds

Update: With the news of Jonathan Taylor having thumb surgery Zack Moss becomes the #1 priority. We have seen this season that Moss is a borderline RB1 with the backfield to himself. Run to the waiver wire to pick him up this week.

Jayden Reed, WR, Green Bay Packers (39.8% Rostered)

It surprised me that Jayden Reed was still rostered under 50% in fantasy leagues. We talked about him last week ahead of his matchup against the Lions and he did not disappoint. Reed actually tied for a season-high in targets with eight catching just four of them for 34 yards and a touchdown. That was his third straight top-24 WR finish.

The matchup is not a great one on paper taking on the Kansas City Chiefs defense that has been very good this season. Kansas City is the toughest defense to outside corners allowing just 12.2 fantasy points per game according to razzball.com. However, against slot receivers, which Reed is in this Packers offense the Chiefs allow 12th most fantasy points to the position. Reed is someone you can pick up and be a bye week filler and more as we head into the playoff season.

Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington Commanders (47.4% Rostered)

I have brought Antonio Gibson up a few times over the past few weeks. He hasn't been outstanding, but if you have had to play him, he hasn't killed you. Before last week against the Cowboys he he finished as a top-30 running back in three straight weeks including two games inside the top-20.

Last week against the Dallas Cowboys he saw six carries for 21 yards and four targets. He continues to be part of the passing game which we love, especially in PPR formats. With six teams on bye this week, I can see Anotonio Gibson being a top-24 guy this week even with him sharing the load with Brian Robinson.

The matchup isn't great taking on the Miami Dolphins who have allowed the second-fewest receptions to opposing running backs. This game script should favor Gibson in this one, with them being down most of the game. I am fine plugging him into my RB2 spot this week.

Greg Dortch, WR, Arizona Cardinals (Rostered 1.2% Rostered)

We are finally back here again. With the return of Kyler Murray, we have also seen Greg Dortch return to fantasy football relevance. With Michaell Wilson out with a shoulder injury, Dortch has taken full advantage. He has seen 17 targets over the past two games and finished with a WR23 and WR33 finish on the week.

If Wilson is out once again this week, I think you can plug Dortch in, in PPR formats and be absolutely fine this week. The Cardinals are taking on the Steelers who have allowed the 11th most fantasy points to the wide receiver position. Dortch is a fine play in a game in which they should be playing from behind.

Samaje Perine, RB, Denver Broncos (23% Rostered)

After being dropped by nearly everyone who drafted him, Samaje Perine has come alive over the past two weeks. He has finished as RB17 in back-to-back weeks in PPR formats. Perine still isn't playing as many snaps as we would like as he has only played 18 and 20 snaps in each game.

He has just been very efficient with those snaps. In Week 11 he caught seven balls for 60 yards to carry his week and then in Week 12 he found the endzone and got more involved on the ground. It's good to see him producing in multiple ways. Houston has been solid against opposing running backs but has given up the 8th most receiving yards to running backs. Maybe Perine does his work through the air again.

Ezekiel Elliott, RB, New England Patriots (38.2% Rostered)

I know there are people rolling their eyes at me putting Zeke on this list. To be honest with you, I am not thrilled with it either, but here we are. If you need someone to get you 6-10 PPR fantasy points this week with all the byes, Zeke is your guy. He has finished outside the top 36 running backs only twice in the past seven games.

Elliott has failed to score over 12 fantasy points this season so there really is no ceiling this play, but you may just need a floor at the RB2 position. It is a solid matchup as well with the Los Angeles Chargers allowing the ninth most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. Zeke is a fine worst-case scenario this week.

Elijah Moore, WR, Cleveland Browns (38.8% Rostered)

Elijah Moore is another guy I keep bringing it up and its because of the volume he is seeing. No matter who the quarterback is Moore gets targeted, they just aren't great targets. Moore has seen at least seven targets in eight of his 11 games this season. Unfortunately, he has only caught one touchdown this season which is holding him back.

In Week 12 he saw nine targets from the combination of Dorian Thompson-Robinson and PJ Walker but caught just three of them for 44 yards. Not great, but you might not have any better options. The Browns get the Los Angeles Rams this week who are middle of the road against opposing wideouts. You can do worse than Moore this week because of the volume he is seeing.
