2023 Fantasy Football Week 17 Drop List

Welcome to the 2023 Fantasy Football Week 17 Drop List.

This will be the last edition of the drop article for the 2023 season. It's been an honor guiding you to solid drop decisions.

Although the fantasy season is ending, the football season is still alive. The playoffs are approaching, so we got that going for us.

As we always do, let's recap the suggestions of last week.

It looks like we went 3-0 this week. Miles Sanders (3-3-0, 2/1-0, 1 FPT) sickens me. Please, for the love of football, drop him.

Dameon Pierce (3-6-0, 2/1-10-0, 1 FPT) did return a kickoff TD. Don't expect that moving forward. He can be (preferably) forcefully removed from your fantasy teams. Just like Miles Sanders, his 2023 season was sickening.

As for Jahan Dotson, he only caught two balls (four targets) for 31 yards. Another week of disappointment, plus he has a tough matchup next week. Say, Au Revoir.

There were two players in the bubble (Josh Downs and Kareem Hunt).

Let's get that (burning) question out of the way. What is the fate of Josh Downs and Kareem Hunt?

Well, they graduated to the drop list.

Josh Downs, WR, Indianapolis Colts (43.6%)

I expect Michael Pittman to be back for the championship game, so say goodbye to Josh Downs.

He saw nine targets in Pittman's absence, but still failed to score more than 10 FPTS. This now makes it seven straight games without topping that number (10 points). During this stretch, Downs's highest WR finish was WR43. He is only averaging 5.7 FPTS/game during this stretch.

You can drop him, don't be scared.

Kareem Hunt, RB, Cleveland Browns (43.1%)

Although he scored, Kareem Hunt still failed to reach 10 fantasy points, or even RB2 status (RB32).

Seven of his last eight games have been under 10 fantasy points. His snap is still hovering in the 30s, which is not something we like to have in our starting lineups.

To make matters worse, he has ZERO RB2 or better finishes in his last eight games. Bye bye Kareem Hunt, hope to see you never again.

Marquise Brown, WR, Arizona Cardinals (79.7%)

Woah! That is what I'm expecting you guys to be thinking right now.

But hear me out, before you leave.

*He is injured, so this could be "cheating".

Even if Marquise Brown comes back for the championship games, he should still be dropped. In his last two games played, he failed to register a catch.

In his last 10 games, Brown has only been a WR2 or better on two occasions (WR17 and WR23). Seven of his last 10 games have been under seven fantasy points.

That should do it for the 2023 Fantasy Football Week 17 Drop List.
