2023 Fantasy Football Week 2 QB/TE Streamers

Week 1 was awesome! And sad. Football is back! And we suffered devastating injuries. It was a rollercoaster weekend, filled with guys like Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, and Aaron Rodgers missing time or suffering injuries. Well, if you're in need, congrats! Because we will cover some 2023 Fantasy Football Week 2 QB/TE Streamers to get you the win!

So, so many dud performances last week, for both the quarterbacks and tight end positions. Four of the top-12 fantasy quarterbacks on the week are less than 25% rostered. The four were Mac Jones, Jordan Love, Sam Howell, and Jimmy Garoppolo at 7%, 24%, 17%, and 15% respectively. The top tight ends on the week were Hunter Henry, Hayden Hurst, T.J. Hockenson, Donald Parham, and Evan Engram. Blake Bell was the TE7 overall in week one in PPR formats.

In short, it was gross. And hopefully, with the return of Kelce and Andrews, plus some positive regression from guys like Waller and Pitts, we'll see a return to normalcy. Quarterback it's another story. While most made it through unscathed, Aaron Rodgers's tenure with the Jets lasted four snaps. My heart sank when I saw it happen. I'm not a Jets fan, but I love to watch good football and hate injuries, plain and simple. Those who drafted Rodgers will now be looking to stream.

The vast majority of my streaming candidates will be available in at least 60% of leagues unless there's one guy I can't help but mention. I want my streamers to be readily available, and I will be offering at least one pick that should be available in most leagues. For this week my honorable mention is Brock Purdy, who just missed the cutoff, rostered in 40.8% of leagues. He gets the Rams and has shown he's got what it takes to be in the NFL. Geno Smith just got beat up by the Rams' defensive line, but I feel the Niners' line is much better and the weapons at his disposal are top-notch. Grab him if he's out there. Now, on to everyone else!

Jordan Love - GB - (24% Rostered)

We didn't know what to expect from Jordan Love, but he played better than I expected at least. He wasn't the most accurate QB, completing only 55% of his passes, but who cares when you turn 15 completions into three touchdowns? Not me! His yards per attempt was the third highest in the league in Week 1, and he gets a questionable Atlanta secondary. They beat up on Bryce Young, but the Panthers are a much weaker team than the Packers even without Christian Watson.

Mac Jones - NE - (7.5%)

It took him 54, let me say that again, 54 pass attempts to get him there, but Jones finished as the QB2 on the week. The Eagles' secondary isn't what it once was, but let's not pretend it's a bad unit. He now plays in what could be yet another track meet when the Dolphins come to town. Miami uses Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle to their strengths, and even though Belichick is known for slowing down the opponent's best player, I just ask how he plans to stop Hill.

The Miami defense didn't let Justin Herbert destroy them, but he still had a decent day, completing nearly 70% of his passes for 228 yards and a score plus another score on the ground. Jones doesn't have quite the same quality of weapons Herbert has, but he does have some solid pass catchers. In fact, his receivers had the fifth most target separation in the league in Week 1. Something in this new offensive scheme is working, and Jones could be in for another big week.

Hayden Hurst - CAR - (9%)

The easy way out would have been to say Hunter Henry, who I will briefly mention to you as a waiver pickup. But I'm going to go with Hurst here. Bryce Young trusted him more than anyone else on the team and he caught the Panthers' only touchdown.

The matchup against the Saints is nothing to get scared about, and I think he could have another solid week.

Logan Thomas - WAS - (2.4%)

We're going deep with this one. Hardly anyone has Logan Thomas, and I can't say I blame them. He just squeaked inside TE1 territory as the TE12 on the week, but what gets me going is his target share. Thomas' eight targets were the third most by a tight end in week 1.

It's possible with Denver's pass rush, Sam Howell will need to get the ball out of his hands quicker and to his low ADOT guys. Thomas is one of them.

That will do it for our Fantasy Football Week 2 QB/TE Streamers! Make sure to come back next week for more and make sure to check out the rest of the amazing stuff we have on Fantasy Six Pack!
