2023 Fantasy Football Week 3 Trade Targets

2023 Fantasy Football Trade Targets

Welcome to our 2023 Fantasy Football Week 3 Trade Targets article.

I love the smell of panic in the morning! You should too, other people's panic is going to be the foundation for which you may make some of your league-winning moves. Did that sound cold and harsh? Look, fake football is not for the faint of heart - it's either kill or be killed, embrace it now before it's too late!

If you're 2-0, don't let it get to your head, you have more work to do. If you're 0-2, come in off that ledge, your season is not over. People are overreacting to what we've seen in the first two weeks. My job is to make sure you're not one of them and to point you in the direction of the managers you should be approaching who may be undervaluing their assets.

Let me be clear, I don't want you to go make ridiculously uneven trade proposals. Don't be that manager who offers me Romeo Doubs and Brian Robinson for Justin Jefferson. I don't want to trade with that person. Make fair proposals that are realistic and factor in the other owners' needs. The sneaky part is identifying the players that managers may be undervaluing.

Here are some trade targets you should be looking to acquire before Week 3

Nobody is holding a firesale actively trying to get out of the Ja'Marr Chase business. I'm not saying it's going to be easy for you to pry him away from his manager, but you have a buying window that is going to slam shut soon and won't exist for the rest of the season. You're going to have to work for this one.

It has been a disappointing first two weeks of the season with five catches for 39 yards in Week 1 and five catches for 31 yards in Week 2. Some owners took Chase over Justin Jefferson with the No. 1 pick. I can assure you, they are not happy.

This offense has not found its rhythm yet, but we all know what they're capable of doing, particularly when the Burrow/Chase connection is clicking. Chase is a big play waiting to happen and can break any game wide open with a single play that transforms your fantasy matchup. Tee Higgins got back on track this week and, I assure you, Chase will be next.

Without knowing the needs of the Chase owner in your league or your team depth, I'd generally consider packaging a WR2 and RB2 for Chase to at least start the conversation with his owner and see if there is even an opening to pursue a deal.
