2023 Fantasy Football QB/TE Streamers

Thank goodness we're past the Week 7 bye weeks. That means I've got a lot more to choose from for our 2023 Fantasy Football Week 9 QB/TE Streamers!

Off the back of a very bad week 7, I told you that it was time to dig in, set things right, and get back on track with our plays. I never would have thought it was going to be as good as it was. It was by far the best week we've had for streamers this year. Everyone had a great game!

Sam Howell was the overall QB1 last week! Derek Carr put up a solid 18 points to finish as the QB13 in week 8 as well. As for our tight ends, they smashed. Trey McBride was the community-wide DFS darling last week and was a popular add in fantasy. Boy did he deliver, finishing as the TE2 in half-PPR formats on the back of ten receptions, 95 yards, and a touchdown.

And while I highlighted Gerald Everett last week, I mentioned Donald Parham could be copied and pasted over Everett's name should he miss. Well, Parham put up a TE11 performance.

It's a tough slate for streaming options with so many teams starting backups for the first or second time. Aidan O'Connell, Jaren Hall, Clayton Tune, and more. We just don't know who will be stream-worthy, and if they play well, we don't know how long they will even start, as in the case of Tune with Kyler Murray close to returning. I have two guys for you at quarterback, so let's start there.

Baker Mayfield vs Houston - 39% Rostered

Baker put together a great game against Buffalo last week relative to what Buffalo has been allowing quarterbacks this season. Houston hasn't been a great matchup for QBs, but they aren't a death knell either.

Mayfield is playing at a level and at a consistency we haven't seen in a long time from him, boosting my confidence. In a week where finding a nice streamer is tough, especially with all the unknowns making their first or second starts, we will take what we can get.

Mac Jones vs. Washington - 8% Rostered

I hope you have a strong stomach. It's a week full of uncertainty for QB streaming, and Mac Jones is the epitome of uncertainty.

His receiving corps is diminished, he hasn't played that well this season, and the Patriots just aren't good. But, he gets a matchup against a Washington defense that just traded away two of their top pass rushers and they have allowed the 2nd most points to the position this season. It's a shot in the dark but it's one we have to take.

Tight Ends

Trey McBride vs. Cleveland Browns - 16% Rostered

McBride faced a terrible matchup against the Ravens last week and it didn't matter one bit. He put up one of the best performances we've seen from a tight end this season. He's had potential since being taken in last year's draft, and he's starting to show it.

His 40% target share is unsustainable, but I do think that McBride will continue to see a healthy dose of targets as long as Zach Ertz is out. Clayton Tune is in line to start this week for QB in Arizona. And with a date with Myles Garrett and Co. on the horizon, he'll need to get the ball out quickly. McBride just might be the guy for Tune this week.

Luke Musgrave vs. Los Angeles Rams - 19.6% Rostered

Musgrave didn't do much last week against the Vikings, catching only two passes for nine yards. However, he gets a matchup this week with the Rams, who have been super friendly to tight ends. Last week Jake Ferguson went for 45 yards and a touchdown against LA. Zach Ertz and Trey McBride combined for six receptions and 84 yards two weeks ago. Dallas Goedert had a massive 8-117-1 line against them in early October.

Musgrave isn't the flashiest option at tight end, but he could be in for a nice game.

That will do it for our 2023 Fantasy Football Week 9 QB/TE Streamers! Thanks for coming by and I'll see you next time!
