Before I dive into my 2023 NFL DFS Stacks Week 4 plays I wanted to discuss the reminder we were all given last week of having a good game stack in your DFS lineups. Last Sunday 9 of the top 16 scorers on DraftKings came from just two games.
What stood out the most to me was that a single-team game stack and a stack with players from both sides did really well. The Miami Dolphins hung 70 points on the Broncos with their top four scorers(Tua/Tyreek/Mostert/Achane) accounting for a mind-boggling 164.56 points on DK. Those four players would have cost $27,000 on DraftKings and only accounted for 54% of your lineup's $50k salary.
For reference on how successful this could have been I was in a $50 double up lineup on DK with 2300 entries. If you had used the Dolphins quartet on Sunday you would only have needed five more points to cash from the other four positions in your lineup or the remaining $23k of salary remaining.
Last week in this article I selected used the Chargers versus Vikings for my game stack. The lineup I gave included three of those top 16 players in scoring I mentioned earlier on DraftKings. My game stack scored 117.44 points and accounted for 52% of my lineup.
It was a nice reminder for us in DFS of the power of a game stack. Whether it's loading up on players from one team in a good matchup or selecting players from both teams in a game you expect to be a high-scoring affair.

The duo of C.J. Stroud and Tank Dell are currently the best value in DFS. Stroud is one of only two quarterbacks in this week's Sunday main slate games who is currently top-10 in points scored on DraftKings. The Texans quarterback is averaging 40 pass attempts per game but remarkably has yet to throw an interception.
Stroud has thrown multiple passing touchdowns in two straight while eclipsing 20 points on DraftKings and FanDuel in both. The Texans opponent this week the Steelers have allowed five passing touchdowns this season. Despite Pittsburgh facing a less than stellar list of quarterbacks thus far in Brock Purdy, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Deshaun Watson.
What I love the most about this QB/WR stack and why it's so valuable is the Texans rookie receiver Tank Dell. Dell is currently 14th on DraftKings in points per game among Wide Receivers but DK has 37 receivers in the main slate Sunday who are more expensive.
The Texans are realizing the talent they have in the young receiver Dell and his target share has increased with each game(22% last two games). Dell's number of first read targets has increased each week this season as well with a season-high 31% share of those passes last Sunday.
Stroud has been peppering Dell with targets in recent weeks and the young receiver is taking advantage of it to the tune of 217 yards receiving with two touchdowns over his last two games. The Texans have plenty of reasons to feed Dell but the biggest is Stroud currently has a 142.1 QB rating when targeting him, the highest rate in the NFL.
