2024 Fantasy Baseball Week 11 Waiver Wire

The 2024 Fantasy Baseball Week 11 Waiver Wire highlights seven top adds and pickups to make this week. Whether you consider these players undervalued or under-rostered, it's time to claim them in your leagues.

The top Waiver Wire players this week include five hitters and two pitchers. The pitchers include a repeat member of the Waiver Wire who is still under-rostered despite the electric run he is on. The other is a top prospect who is ready for a promotion. Once that happens, he will be a must-add player, so it's better to hop on early. The batters include a top-30 prospect eligible to return from suspension in late June. Also included is a candidate for National League Rookie of the Year, a utility man, and two outfielders.

The 2024 NBA Finals are underway, and the Boston Celtics have the early lead over the Dallas Mavericks in the series. Stars Luka Doncic and Jayson Tatum are battling it out for their respective teams and cities to usher in the new era of basketball. Whoever wins this series has the chance to set up a Dynasty that can last for years. I'm rooting for the St. Louis native Tatum and the Celtics.

Noelvi Marte, 3B, Cincinnati Reds

Noelvi Marte is starting a rehab assignment on June 11. He is eligible to return to the Cincinnati Reds on June 27 after serving an 80-game suspension for testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).

According to MLB.com, Marte is the No.28 prospect in baseball and the Reds' No.2 prospect. He made his MLB debut in August 2023 and slashed .316/.366/.456 with 15 runs and 15 RBI in 35 games.

The talented prospect was expected to handle an everyday role at third base before landing a suspension. Once Marte returns, he will likely take over that spot from Jeimer Candelario. The Reds could move things around to keep Candelario in the lineup, but the infield is crowded in Cincinnati, and someone will take a hit in playing time.

Josh Smith, 3B/SS/OF, Texas Rangers

Josh Smith has made the 2024 Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire multiple times this year. Sometimes, he is a top waiver wire add, and other times, he is among the best of the rest. Either way, he continues to find success on the field and reward his fantasy managers.

He still has an everyday role locked down at third base, and Smith bats at the top of the order when the team faces a right-handed starter. Smith stays in the lineup when they face a left-hander, but he moves down to the seven spot.

He's slashing a mighty impressive .290/.377/.440 with a 135 wRC+ on the season. Through 60 games, he has 15 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 30 runs, and 24 RBI. We could see regression for Smith as indicated by his xBA (.244) and xSLG (.344) being well below his actual batting average and slugging percentage.

Despite the possible regression, Smith is still a great waiver wire candidate due to playing every day in a high-scoring offense.

Matt Waldron, SP, San Diego Padres

Matt Waldron made the 2024 Fantasy Baseball Weekend Streamers article this week, but we're taking it a step further. The knuckleballer is a top add on the 2024 Fantasy Baseball Week 11 Waiver Wire.

His next matchup is Saturday, June 7, against the Arizona Diamondbacks (the day this article is released). I expect it to be another excellent outing for Waldron, raising his roster percentage (33%) even higher. After this contest, he will face the New York Mets on Friday at Citi Field.

Waldron is one of the hottest pitchers in baseball. Since May 11, Waldron has the 10th-best ERA (1.84), ninth-best K/9 (10.74), seventh-best SIERA (2.77), and the best FIP (1.91) among qualified pitchers. It's not a fluke, and it's not luck. The knuckleballer is proving legit and is making a case to stay on rosters for the rest of the season.

Miguel Andujar, OF, Oakland Athletics

Miguel Andujar is becoming a mainstay at the top of the Oakland lineup. Since his promotion on May 24, Andujar has batted second or fourth in the lineup five times each.

Overall, he is slashing .311/.304/.489 across 46 plate appearances and 11 games. He has two doubles, two home runs, six runs, and 12 RBI. Since the 24th, he is tied with the seventh most RBI in baseball.

The biggest issue with Andujar is the lack of walks. He has yet to record a single one this season, bringing his career walk rate down to 4.1%. This continues to hurt his on-base percentage and limit his value.

I'm not the biggest fan of Andujar, but there is no denying the production. If anything, Andujar is at least worth being an add for the short term.

Masyn Winn, SS, St. Louis Cardinals

Masyn Winn has consistently made the best of the rest section this season, and now he has finally made it to the top add on the 2024 Fantasy Baseball Week 11 Waiver Wire. According to FanGraphs, Winn ranks top five in batting average (.311) and on-base percentage (.360) among qualified shortstops. He is also tied for fourth in wRC+ (130) alongside Corey Seager and Anthony Volpe.

The one thing holding Winn back from Fantasy Baseball stardom is his lack of run production. Through 55 games, he has 20 runs and 21 RBI. However, in his last 22 games, Winn has made eight appearances as the leadoff man. In this span, he has scored 10 runs and 14 RBI. In this span, he belted his first three home runs of the season.

The hitting talent is there, and the run production is finally coming. For as good as the shortstop started the year, he has switched into another gear. The Cardinals are recognizing his great performances by moving him up the lineup. Now it's time for fantasy baseball managers to recognize it and add him to their roster.

Max Meyer, SP, Miami Marlins

Miami Marlins manager Skip Schumaker announced that Max Meyer will be called to the majors soon. Meyer made three starts for the Marlins this season before being optioned to Triple-A. In those three starts, he combined for 14 strikeouts in 17 innings. He posted a 2.12 ERA and 2-and-0 record.

Meyer had some good outings and some bad outings in Triple-A. However, his overall numbers look terrible. He has a 6.85 ERA and 5.04 FIP across seven games and 23.2 innings. He has struck out an impressive 33 batters while allowing just 11 walks.

Meyer started on Friday, and it's unclear exactly where he will slot in the rotation once he is called up. I expect it to be against the Washington Nationals on Friday, June 14. If that is the case, and Meyer earns the promotion, he is a must-add from the 2024 Fantasy Baseball Week 11 Waiver Wire.

Heliot Ramos, OF, San Francisco Giants

Heliot Ramos is one of the hottest waiver wire adds this week. Over the last 14 days, he has a .316/.480/.579 triple slash with five runs and 10 RBI. His wOBA (.455) ranks 10th among qualified players in this span, while his wRC+ (203) is suitable for eighth.

Ramos is showing to be a quality player at the plate. He can get on base at an excellent rate and slug the ball well. The only part of his game that holds him back is his 31.5% strikeout rate.

Ramos's Baseball Savant is a pleasure to look at. If he had enough at-bats to be qualified, he would rank in the 90th percentile or greater for average exit velocity, bat speed, barrel rate, hard-hit rate, and walk rate. I look forward to watching Ramos swing the bat and continue his hot streak.
