2024 Fantasy Baseball Weekend Streamers (6/21-6/23)

Welcome to the 2024 Fantasy Baseball Week 11 Weekend Streamers. This article highlights the top pitchers for Fantasy Baseball managers to stream this weekend.

Managers scramble on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to find players to help them win the week. Mistakes can happen when scrambling, and certain players might get missed. All the pitchers included here have a roster percentage below 35%. It's below this range that tough decisions must be made when adding a streamer from the waiver wire.

We have two pitchers on Friday, four on Saturday, and one on Sunday. The pitchers made the list primarily due to favorable matchups but are also considered due to recent hot streaks. Don't forget to use our Pitching Planner which breakdown all the week's starts.

Friday Streamers

Cooper Criswell, Boston Red Sox

Cooper Criswell is shining with the Boston Red Sox. His performances push him into the realm of Fantasy Baseball. He is posting a 3.92 ERA and 3.57 FIP through 10 games and 43.2 innings pitched. His 22.7% strikeout rate is just above the league average.

His road stats may be rough, but he has faced tough opponents while on the road. This weekend, he faces the Chicago White Sox.

According to MLB.com, the White Sox ranked 27th in runs and 29th in OPS over the last 15 days. They also have the eighth most strikeouts in this span.

Criswell is a quality starting pitcher to stream this weekend in Fantasy Baseball at just nine percent rostered.

Lance Lynn, St. Louis Cardinals

Lance Lynn will face the Colorado Rockies at home on Friday. The veteran has 29 strikeouts in 25.2 innings while pitching at home this season. He has been great against right-handed batters this year, as shown by the slash line (.210/.292/.330) they hit against him. The Colorado lineup is filled almost entirely with right-handed batters.

On the season, Lynn has a 2-3 record across 12 starts. Across 61.1 innings, he combined for a 3.23 ERA, 21.2% strikeout rate, and 9.3% walk rate.

He has a 25% roster percentage, but heading into his matchup on Friday, that should rise.

Saturday Streamers

Andrew Heaney, Texas Rangers

Andrew Heaney beat up the weak Miami Marlins offense in his most recent start. He struck out seven batters in six shutout innings. It may have been versus a weaker opponent, but it was enough to draw eyes for his next matchup. He will face the San Francisco Giants on Saturday at Globe Life Field in Texas.

Heaney has a subpar ERA (5.16) at home, but a better FIP (4.68) and xFIP (4.13) show he can bounce back. Overall, he has a 3.99 ERA, 4.01 FIP, and 4.11 xFIP on the season. His strikeout rate (21.7%) is down from previous seasons, but it's not bad enough to avoid him altogether.

On the season, the Giants' offense is above average in terms of runs and OPS. Over the last 15 days, they rank seventh in runs and 11th in OPS.

I'm not expecting a groundbreaking performance from the veteran, but he looks to be a reliable streaming option.

Luis Medina, Oakland Athletics

Luis Medina made his season debut on June 2 versus the Atlanta Braves. He recorded six strikeouts in 5.2 innings, allowing just one run (unearned). Medina allowed just two hits and two walks in this contest.

His next scheduled start is at home against the Toronto Blue Jays. As disappointing as the Braves' offense is this year, the Blue Jays offense has been even more of a letdown. On the season, they rank 24th in runs and 21st in OPS. However, they ranked in the top 10 in both categories over the last 15 days. Despite this recent success, Medina is still one of the top pitchers to stream this weekend.

Matt Waldron, San Diego Padres

Knuckleballer Matt Waldron is on a tear over his last five starts. He combined for 29.1 innings and 35 strikeouts, with just six earned runs from six hits and six walks. Waldron limited opposing batters to just one home run (Freddie Freeman).

Despite this incredible run, Waldron has a low roster percentage (31%). He made the 2024 Fantasy Baseball Week 9 Waiver Wire, but the knuckleballer hasn't been added in as many leagues as I would have thought. However, this is great because it means he is still widely available and is a quality streaming candidate for this week's matchup.

Waldron faces the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday at home. He last faced them on May 5 in Arizona, where he allowed seven earned runs in three innings. After that, he started this current hot streak. I'm betting on Waldron continuing to throw his nasty knuckleballs and pitch well.

Simeon Woods Richardson, Minnesota Twins

It feels like forever ago that Simeon Woods Richardson was one of the top pitching prospects in baseball, but he is still just 23 years old. The rookie right-hander is proving to be a reliable fantasy asset by posting a 3.05 ERA. However, his strikeout rate (19.9%) does limit that value.

This 2024 Fantasy Baseball Week 11 Weekend Streamer makes the list primarily due to his matchup. Woods Richardson faces the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday in Pittsburgh. The Pirates rank 20th in runs and 27th in OPS on the season. They also have the fourth most strikeouts on the year, boosting Woods Richardson's value.

Sunday Streamers

Frankie Montas, Cincinnati Reds

Frankie Montas is in a similar position as Woods Richardson. He has a solid ERA (4.00), but his strikeout rate severely limits his fantasy value. However, his matchup this week versus the Chicago Cubs is a favorable one. The Cubs have the 10th-most strikeouts and the 10th-worst OPS this season. Despite these stats, they do have the 13th-most runs, though.

Montas is coming off the best start of his season. In seven shutout innings, he allowed just one hit and two walks and struck out nine batters. This was a season-high in innings and strikeouts for Montas. This fantastic performance happened at Coors Field, usually hitter-friendly, but Montas showed he can handle the pressure.

The start this weekend versus the Cubs will be in Cincinnati at Great American Ballpark, also known as a hitter-friendly stadium. Despite this, Montas has performed much better at home than on the road this season. He is carrying a 3.34 ERA and has allowed a .250/.293/.345 slash line against him in 29.2 innings at home. His FIP (2.73) and xFIP (3.86) are also excellent at home.
