At first glance, the tight end position brings us several reasons for going cheap! I'm glad you made it back to Bottom of the Barrel for Week 14! As our real-life work week comes to an end our weekend DFS work is just getting started!

The idea of spending a ton of dough on a tight end in DFS has always been foreign to me. Rarely do I toss money at the position, but it has helped in other areas of building a lineup. Bottom of the Barrel has always been about digging deep. Digging deeper than any other website, article, or person cares to do.

Week 14 brings its challenges and struggles to all the other offensive skill positions. Yet, the tight-end spot is peaceful! It is now time. Let’s chat about ten specific tight ends I am into for Week 14!

Travis Kelce Chiefs vs. Bills(9th)

It has been a rollercoaster of emotions for Kelce the last few weeks. More specifically last Sunday night in Green Bay. Not only did the Packers score a touchdown in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarter but they held KC to one measly FG in the 1st and 2nd quarter. Taylor was there for him in this big red velvet jacket and the Chiefs lost.

You may also notice that Travis was very upset about a no-call late in the game. Off the record, I am with Kelce. Those Packer punks were all over MVS on that 50+ yard pass. It should've been a pass interference penalty and KC would've been in business. Yet, it wasn't and the Chiefs lost in GB. Now they host their arch-rival Buffalo Bills in Arrowhead this week.

Enough with the talking. Enough with laying blame on everyone but yourself, Travis. I am positively certain Pat, Travis, and Andy Reid will have one heck of a game plan. I would never tell you to fade Travis Kelce. Quite the opposite here. Plan on the Chief coming out swinging and just laying hits on the Bills.

I have Travis seeing 8-9 targets and catching 6-7 passes for 75-80 yards and a touchdown.

Kyle Pitts Falcons vs. Buccaneers(22nd)

Pitts is a polarizing player. Will that ever go away? If returns draft capital value to all the dynasty folks, I think it’ll float away. Not to be rude but I don’t care about seasonal formats right now.

I want to talk about the here and NOW! Week 14 of the football season. Kyle Pitts saw the most targets last week in a game since Week 5, hinting there might be some sort of push for Pitts. “Then again, we've been there before.” Says all the folks who think they are smarter than everyone else.

I am expecting Pitts to see 5-6 targets, 4-5 catches, and about 60 yards. I do have Atlanta to score 20-21 points here too. Meaning, that Pitts should be able to find the endzone.

Isaiah Likely Ravens vs. Rams(27th)

Let me open it this way. The Baltimore Ravens should have no issue getting to 30+ points scored in this game. The Rams will hang tough! They are a proud team and Stafford is playing out of his mind again. Which I love to see! I would also love to see Likely find the endzone!

Let us count on 5-6 targets, 4-5 receptions, 50-55 yards, and a touchdown!

Brevin Jordan Texans at Jets(25th)

Jordan caught three of four targets for 64 yards on Sunday as the Texans ended the Broncos ' game-winning streak! Brevin also played a season-high 51 snaps. His pass-catching ability has never been an issue. His run-blocking ability is and he’s able to be an every-down player because of it. Fine by me. Given his low price tag, a repeat of last week’s box score would be phenomenal!

Brevin Jordan will be fine with the Texans organization for a while. In terms of Week 14, I think he sees 4-5 targets, 3-4 receptions, and hangs 55-60 yards.

Cade Otton Buccaneers at Falcons(28th)

Cade did not draw a target over 61 snaps on Sunday as Tampa beat the Panthers. Otton should have an outstanding chance of rectifying that in a Week 14 road game against a Falcons team that's allowed a healthy 75-760-3 line to tight ends over 12 games.

What I love even more is the fact that I am expecting Tampa Bay to beat Atlanta 21-20. This means the Bucs have three TDs to go around. Given how bad the Falcons are at defended tight ends Cade Otton will find paydirt on Sunday!

Michael Mayer Raiders vs. Vikings(15th)

Mike caught two of four targets for 27 yards back in Week 12 against the Chiefs. Thankfully the Raiders were on their bye in Week 13. Right now, Las Vegas is at 5-7 and it would take a miracle for any movement to get up and into any of the AFC Wild Card Playoff spots. So, what is left?

We have all heard it many times but have probably just ignored it. There is still pride left to fight for. Roster spots and jobs hang in the balance. Michael Mayer’s role has increased in the last three games with 4.7 targets on average. Look for him to step up and be more involved as the season draws to a close. Should be a lot of moving parts in this game and do not be shocked to see Mayer catch his second NFL touchdown in Week 14.
