Check Your Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) Horoscope!

on

I am often asked whether I play DraftKings or FanDuel? The answer is both! Actually the answer is a lot more than that. I play at least six different DFS sites. But this is not about me, this is about you. You’re here to check your daily fantasy sports horoscope.

What does that even mean? Much like each zodiac star sign tells a person a bit about themselves, your zodiac sign can also tell you a lot about the types of DFS games and sites you might find interesting – and believe me, there are a ton.

So which site is right for you? Should you play DraftKings or FanDuel? Perhaps another site would be better? This is not the first time I’ve touched on this subject.

All kidding aside, I do feel like many individuals’ zodiac sign fits them. Is there any reason we can’t overlay the zodiac with what might be a preferred DFS site? Of course there isn’t.

Obviously you should not take this too seriously, but do read the horoscopes below. Perhaps you’ll learn about a DFS site or perhaps even insight into your own personal DFS style you never considered.

Or not. That’s what wonderful about astrology–you can use it any way you want, even if it is deciding whether DraftKings or FanDuel is right for you!

Aries

Famous NFL Aries: Richard Sherman, Adrian Peterson

Aries love to be top of the mountain and being first. Ricky Bobby’s “if you ain’t first, you’re last” creedo fits the Aries.

Aries should be naturally attracted to industry leaders FanDuel and DraftKings. But no 50/50 or double-ups (known in the industry as cash games) for you. You want GPPs and the “winner take all” contests found more often on those particular sites than others.

Taurus

Famous NFL Aries: Clay Matthews, Alex Smith

These cosmic oxen are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and do the work to earn big rewards. They are focused and resilient, sometimes to a fault.

Their ability to stick to their guns and stake management enables them to weather the bad DFS weeks with the good. The best DFS sites for them are those that reward their hard and consistent work.

For example, DraftKings and their “crowns” rewards system that gives additional incentive to play all season is something that will draw the Taurus into playing on DraftKings.

Gemini

Famous NFL Gemini: Amari Cooper, DeAndre Hopkins

Duality is what you believe in and therefore there is no better site for you than FanBall, who feature 2-QB DFS contests!

Maybe you already play in some seasonal 2-QB leagues, maybe you don’t. Part of being a Gemini is being on both sides. Give it a try!

Cancer

Famous NFL Gemini: Michael Vick, John Elway

Represented by the crab who weaves seamlessly between the realms of water and land, you appreciate the fluidity of having a flex spot. Stick with DraftKings that always offers a flex spot in its fantasy football games.

But just like the NFL quarterbacks above who had strong arms, but could easily punish their opponent with their legs, you are likely to swing over to FanDuel as well to remain fluid in the DraftKings or FanDuel debate.

Leo

Famous NFL Leos: Tom Brady, Todd Gurley

Leos embrace their royal nature as king of the jungle. Leos love to bask in the spotlight and celebrate what they have achieved. Your best bet is the number of tournament games on DraftKings and FanDuel that allow you to compete for end of season contests where you are crowned champion and often featured in commercials and promotions for the sites.

You are likely to see Leos in the commercials holding up an over-sized check basking in their own glory!

Virgo

Famous NFL Virgos: Larry Fitzgerald, Doug Baldwin

Virgos are represented by the goddess of wheat and agriculture. They are typically logical and systematic in their approach.

The players above routinely worked at being better than the competition. That same routine and systematic determination leaves Virgos asking why repeatedly give up various percentages back to the sites?

The “no-rake” feature of FantasyDraft that they promoted last year speaks to you.

Libra

Famous NFL Libras: Tyler Lockett, Jared Goff

Libras and Aries will likely be playing very few of the same games. Represented by the scales, you believe in balance. Therefore you search out the balance of 50/50s, available on nearly every site.

Should you play on more than one site, you will also likely balance the amount of money you spend on either site down to last shilling in favor of equilibrium.

Scorpio

Famous NFL Scorpios: Odell Beckham Jr, Michael Strahan

Like the their celestial spirit animal, the scorpion, Scorpios lie in wait and strike when least expected. You are naturally drawn to GPPs, where your ability to find the “slate breaker” (the player most likely to score an insane amount but is lowly owned) pays huge dividends.

The site most suited for you might be Yahoo where the drop from first place payout to second place is often precipitous.

Sagitarrius

Famous NFL Scorpios: Jarvis Landry, Russell Wilson

Sagitarrius is not my zodiac sign. However, my DFS zodiac sign is probably best represented by the archer of Sagitarrius.

When I first started playing and wondering whether it should be DraftKings or FanDuel, like Sagitarrians I’m always on a quest for knowledge. They prefer to take shot after shot, firing their blazing arrows across the sky knowing that one if not many will hit their intended target.

The Sagitarrius is comfortable in playing every and all sites, knowing that each one requires a slightly different projection and pulling of their bow.

Capricorn

Famous NFL Capricorns: Lamar Jackson, Nick Chubb

With the body of a goat and tail of a fish, Capricorns tap into their inner fortitude to overcome whatever stands between them and their long-term goals. They are able to swim through all the waves of hardship in order to scale the mountain of success.

Capricorns can appreciate the longevity of the season. Yahoo DFS leagues are perfect for the Capricorn. They reward weekly efforts, but the big money lies at the end though for those who continue to climb each week of the season.

Aquarius

Famous NFL Aquarius: Le’Veon Bell, Randy Moss

Aquarius is the most humanitarian astrological sign. They despise authority and fervently support “power to the people”.

Their non-conformist attitude will have them staying away from FanDuel and DraftKings, but inclined to play some of the non-traditional DFS sites like MonkeyKnife Fight, Fendoff, or ThriveFantasy.

Pisces

Famous NFL Pisces: Ben Roethlisberger, Khalil Mack

Pisces is symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions, representing the constant division of attention between fantasy and reality. Sounds like someone who would love fantasy football, no?

But these opposite directions are why Pisces will enjoy both 50/50 cash games equally to GPPs. Pisces knows there are “other fish in the ocean” and might be willing to try some of the same non-traditional sites like Aquarius. However, they know there is strength in numbers and will likely stick to DraftKings and FanDuel. But to be clear, it’s an “and” not a DraftKings or FanDuel only option.
