Fantasy Baseball McCloy’s Stream Team

As an avid fan of streaming, I’m going to risk my own ability to grab these guys in my leagues so that you the reader know the best available streamers.   All streamers must have an ownership below 75% to be on this list.

Two Start Streamers

Scott Kazmir (OAK) – MON @ MIN, SAT @ SEA (ESPN-48% Yahoo-73%)
It’s crazy to think that Kazmir’s ownership is still this low, thus qualifying for this list.  Even after a 7.1 inning shutout of Cleveland to start the 2014 season.  Kazmir owned the Twins last year, going 3-0 with a 1.45 ERA and current Mariners have hit .152 against him lifetime.

kluberCorey Kluber (CLE) – Mon vs SD, SAT @CWS (ESPN-2.6% Yahoo-61%)
Another baffling ownership rate, Kluber has the goods to get the job done.  After an inconspicuous start against the A’s where he lasted only 3 1/3 getting knocked around, Kluber looks to get back to where he was at the end of 2013.  With favorable matchups this week, he has that chance.

Single Start Streamers

Tyson Ross (SD) – TUES @CLE (ESPN-.7% Yahoo-63%)
The disparity in ownership percentage between ESPN and Yahoo is crazy, maybe the Yahoo players know a little more than the ESPN, or it’s probably just the fact that the majority of ESPN leagues are 10 teamers.  Either way, Ross looks to get back on track to where he finished off 2013.  He struggled against the Dodgers but with that lineup, who wouldn’t?  Look for Ross to gobble up the strikeouts on Tuesday in Cleveland.

Jason Hammel (CHC) – WED vs PIT (ESPN-1.6%  Yahoo 3%)
Hammel only gave up 2 hits and 1 earned run last week against the Pirates en route to his first win of the season.   Look for him to quell the Pirates bats once again, this time at Wrigley Field.

Bruce Chen (KC) – FRI  vs MIN (ESPN-.9%, Yahoo-4%)
ChenChen earned No-Decision vs the White Sox on Saturday pitching into the 7th while striking out 7.   With a great lineup behind him, look for Chen to pick up the win and help you out in other categories as well.

Nate Eovaldi (MIA) – Sat @ PHI (ESPN-8.9% Yahoo-20%)
Using an upper 90’s fastball, Eovaldi had 14 K’s in his first two starts.  He would be 2-0 if he didn’t hang a slider for a 3 run HR.   The 24 year old right hander is part of the young Marlins staff that can shut down opponents.  Look for him to rack up the K’s on Saturday.

Kyle Lohse (MIL) – Sun vs PIT (ESPN-25%, Yahoo-43%)
Lohse looked good against the Braves last week, striking out 8 and posting a WHIP of 1.00.  However, he left a couple balls up that ended up being deposited in the bleachers.  Look for him to keep those mistakes to a minimum vs the Pirates on Sunday.

Each week, I will recap my streaming picks and let you know whether I was a genius or a goat.
