The Fantasy Six Pack Hour is back. We are back this week to conclude our 2018 Fantasy Football previews.

A.J. Applegarth is back with us after a three-week break to help take care of his newborn daughter. We are happy to have him back.

This week to help with the tight end landscape is Fantasy Six Pack writer, Alex Hamrick. He wrote the tight end position preview, bust and sleeper articles for the site. Be sure to follow him on Twitter @AlexBHamrick.

Draft Strategy

Alex breaks down how he expects to attack the tight end position as he enters the draft. Does he suggest going after one of the top at the position or waiting to snag a later player?

Hot Topics/Questions

Alex helps us answer the following questions

  • Greg Olsen and Tyler Eifert were once top tight ends, but injuries have derailed them. Can they bounce back this season?
  • Jordan Reed is yet another injury prone tight end. He has been elite when healthy though. Can he be trusted due to health and a quarterback change?
  • Travis Kelce is going through a quarterback change as well, losing Smith who will be throwing to Reed. Is there a drop-off in production coming?
  • Just what are we doing with the usually productive tight end position from the Chargers?

Bros in Different Area Codes

A few splash signings this offseason for the tight end position. Most notably, Jimmy Graham, Trey Burton, Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Eric Ebron and Ben Watson moved to new teams.

Alex tells us which tight end he likes best, which he is avoiding from the group.

Rookies

Rookie tight ends are almost impossible to trust. The blocking they need to do in the pros is so much more complex and it takes a while to get it down. They don’t get a chance to make an impact until they learn it.

However, the three rookies we are interested in this season is Hayden Hurst, Mike Gesicki and Dallas Goedert.

Alex tells us who could make the biggest impact in fantasy if any of the three.

Reaches and Steals

We finish the tight end preview with each of us giving one reach and one steal in drafts.
