How to Enjoy the Season if Your Team is Bad

A couple of weeks into the fantasy season, it can become painfully obvious that your team just… sucks. Whether it’s down to unlucky injuries or bad drafting, you’re out of the playoffs, and your season is over. It’s especially upsetting if you thought this was going to be your year. But hey, someone has to lose! This article will explain how to enjoy the season if your team sucks. Don’t be a sore loser; there’s still plenty to enjoy.

Start looking forward to next season

This season didn’t go exactly as you’d planned. But don’t worry, that just gives you more time to prepare for next season. You can go into the next season armed with the best draft picks – because you had time to watch them come up. You can make elaborate spreadsheets, spend hours trawling through college player reels, and go into the next season ready. What else do you have to do?

Hone your trash-talking skills

One of the best things about fantasy leagues is trash-talking on the message boards. You and your friends have probably been savaging each other all season. Well, now is your chance to become the boss of the message boards. Spend your free time researching the best memes and coming up with insults that make your friends question why they even like you. Sure, it might not be the best way to spend your time, but someone’s gotta do it.

Play daily fantasy football

Your season might be in the trash, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy fantasy football. Play some daily fantasy football and get a few wins in the bag so that you feel better about yourself. You’re given a set budget, and you have to pick players based on their fantasy potential. This is a good way to hone your fantasy football skills ahead of the new season. You can change your tactics every week and see what works best for you.

Find a new hobby

If you feel like you’re running out of ideas on how to enjoy the season, maybe it’s time to get a new hobby – at least until the season starts again. You could hit up the best mobile casino Canada has to offer. Play some slots, get better at blackjack, and sharpen up your poker skills. Alternatively, you could go out there and play some real sports. Who knows? Maybe your friends will be picking you for their fantasy leagues in a couple of years.

Try and get the least amount of points

This is called ‘leasting’. Instead of trying to get the most amount of points on a game day. It takes some creativity and won’t help you in the long run, but it’s still a lot of fun. The only rule is that you’re not allowed to drop your best players and pick up bad ones because you’ll just sabotage the rest of your league in the process. Other than that, you can make up the rules for yourself. Why not ask the other ‘losers’ in your team to join you.
