League of Legends DFS – DraftKings LEC Slate Breakdown 3-27-20

on

Welcome to the League of Legends DFS DraftKings LEC (European Championship) Slate Breakdown for 3-27-20.

Unfortunately at the time of writing this Pinnacle doesn’t have money lines for all of the matches, so certain games will have kill lines which are usually similar. I’ll replace them when money lines are posted.

For those of you who are new to LoL DFS, please take a moment to read my League of Legends DFS Basics post first.

League of Legends DFS – DraftKings LEC Slate Breakdown 3-27-20

Rogue (-718) vs SK (+383)

Implied Kill Total – Rogue 15, SK 6.5

In a match where the playoff-bound Rogue takes on the bottom feeders SK, I’d be very surprised to see an upset. Rogue has a modest kill projection of 15 and their kills are very concentrated around everyone but Finn. I think they might be slightly overpriced given their kill projection, but if you’re looking for a floor I think Rogue can provide that.

If you’re taking shots on SK things will center around Crownshot and Trick and I would consider them must plays if you’re really getting weird.

It’s worth noting Ventair has only played two games so his kill participation is unsustainably high.

Rogue Starters (KP)

Top – Finn (54.9%) – $6400

Jungle – Inspired (69%) – $7000

Mid – Larssen (69.6%) – $8000

ADC – Hans sama (69%) – $7600

Support – Vander (69%) – $6000

SK Gaming Starters (KP)

Top – Ventair (87.5%) – $5000

Jungle – Trick (75.9%) – $5000

Mid – Jenax (61.1%) – $5600

ADC – Crownshot (72.2%) – $6200

Support – LIMIT (66.7%) – $3600

Vitality (+284) vs Misfits (-482)

Implied Kill Total – Misfits 15.5, Vitality 8

After an 0-2 week, Misfits are clinging onto the last playoff spot for dear life, but luckily for them, they draw last-placed Vitality as their next matchup.

Vitality are clearly building towards the next split and they have really struggled all year.

The money line seems fair here as a Vitality win would be a huge upset.

Misfits have a decent kill projection and some solid prices on many of their players, but the kill participation is pretty flat so picking and choosing who to include in a stack is a bit of whack a mole. Despite that, I’d be comfortable rolling Misfits in all formats.

Vitality Starters (KP)

Top – Cabochard (58.3%) – $5600

Jungle – Skeanz (73.9%) – $5800

Mid – Selfie (52%) – $5400

ADC – Comp (63.5%) – $7000

Support – Steeelback (75.5%) – $4800

Misfits Starters (KP)

Top – Dan Dan (65.1%) – $7000

Jungle – Razork (66.1%) – $6800

Mid – Febiven (62.4%) – $7600

ADC – Bvoy (65.1%) – $7400

Support – Denyk (68.3%) – $5800

G2 (-1060) vs Schalke 04 (+502)

Implied Kill Total – G2 20, Schalke 04 8.5

Every LEC slate revolves around G2, and they remain staples again this weekend. As an incredibly fast-paced team that is almost always a large favorite, they should be in heavy consideration for all formats.

Schalke have looked better after deciding on rolling this current lineup so I don’t think it would be the most absurd thing to see them pull off an upset here. I’ll take some shots in GPPs, but that’s where my S04 exposure will start and end.

EDIT: Schalke have announced Gilius will be starting over Lurox, and I think this is a bit of a step backwards for them.  Gilius has a higher damage share and kill participation, but this team just seems to work better with Lurox driving plays.

G2 Starters (KP)

Top – Wunder (59.6%) – $7200

Jungle – Jankos (71.2%) – $7600

Mid – PERKZ (65.4%) – $8200

ADC – Caps (76%) – $8400

Support – Mikyx (74.7%) – $6400

Schalke 04 Starters (KP)

Top – Odoamne (53.8%) – $5400

Jungle – Gilius (74.4%) – $5000

Mid – Abbedagge (71.4%) – $6800

ADC – Innaxe (65.9%) – $6800

Support – Dreams (60.4%) – $4200

Excel (+356) vs Origen (-477)

Implied Kill Total – Origen 15.5, Excel 6

Origen are one of the three best teams in the region and normally win with a slow-paced and methodical approach. That said they have a decent kill projection and this line seems fair. They should be quite large favorites and that makes them a solid cash play.

My only issue with Origen is that their style generally leads to a lower ceiling than other favorites on the slate, so I tend to avoid them in my lineups where that’s necessary.

Excel Projected Starters (KP)

Top – Expect (63.9%) – $5800

Jungle – Caedrel (68.9%) – $5400

Mid – Mickey (70%) – $6400

ADC – Patrik (73.9%) – $6600

Support – Tore (70.6%) – $3800

Origen Projected Starters (KP)

Top – Alphari (60.5%) – $6800

Jungle – Xerxe (67.6%) – $7200

Mid – Nukeduck (63.8%) – $7200

ADC – Upset (72.9%) – $7800

Support – Destiny (71.9%) – $5600

MAD Lions (+188) vs Fnatic (-290)

Implied Kill Total – Fnatic 16, MAD Lions 10.5

To me, and to Vegas, this looks like the closest matchup of the slate. In a matchup between the third and fourth-placed teams I agree with the line that Fnatic should be favored, but not by this much. Vegas sees a 70-30 and I see it as more of a 55-45.

I imagine that with this game having the second-highest kill total on the slate and two closely matched teams, I’ll be mixing and matching a lot of both of these teams in my GPP lineups.

I do think the most likely outcome is that Fnatic wins here, and when they do they should put up some nice scores, but I’m not confident enough to roll them in cash.

As shown by his 73.8% KP, if you are playing Fnatic this weekend, Rekkles is a must-have as this team revolves around him.

On the other side of the matchup, I love MAD lions in GPPs as a feasible underdog in a high kill environment.

MAD Lions Projected Starters (KP)

Top – Orome (58.3%) – $6000

Jungle – Shad0w (66%) – $6000

Mid – Humanoid (64.6%) – $6000

ADC – Carzzy (68.9%) – $6400

Support – Kaiser (76.2%) – $5000

Fnatic Projected Starters (KP)

Top – Bwipo (60.5%) – $6600

Jungle – Selfmade (60.9%) – $6400

Mid – Nemesis (59.2%) – $7000

ADC – Rekkles (73.8%) – $8000

Support – Hylissang (60.9%) – $5200
