MLB DFS 4-11-22 Stacks

Welcome to the MLB DFS 4-11-22 Stacks post!

Monday's main slate features seven of the 12 scheduled games. It is an interesting one as well as there is not that obvious lopsided win on paper. Also, none of the games have an over/under of 10 or greater so there is not that one game that is going to be the popular play.

So how should you attack it? The two games that make the most sense, on paper, to target both the home and away teams are the Toronto Blue Jays at New York Yankees and New York Mes at Philadelphia Phillies.

At Yankee Stadium, Jameson Taillon faces off against Alek Manoah. The Yankees hosted the Boston Red Sox on Sunday Night Baseball and we could see some bats getting the night off. Plus, facing Manoah could result in a lot of strikeouts. For these reasons, I am off the Yankees stack but I am more than happy to play around with some Blue Jays stacks.

Over in Philadelphia, at Citizen Bank Park, Ranger Suarez matches up with Taijuan Walker. Suarez was a hot name entering the 2022 MLB/Fantasy Baseball season, but he should be on a pitch count tomorrow as he was late to Spring Training with a Visa issue.

But those are the "obvious" plays of the days, how can we differentiate ourselves today?

3 pm EST Update - LHP Josh Rogers will start for the Washington Nationals as Anibal Sanchez has landed on the IL. I expect the Atlanta Braves offense to be heavily played tonight!

Minnesota Twins vs Chris Flexen

Carlos Correa
Jorge Polanco

The Twins are coming off 10 runs yesterday, hitting six home runs - two by Byron Buxton. Buxton had three straight at bats that resulted in home runs this weekend. However, Buxton is priced too high for me today.

Instead, I am going to focus on the infield with some mix of Carlos Correa, Jorge Polanco and depending on the lineup, Miguel Sano, Gio Urshela or Gary Sanchez.

I have no problem running back one or two Mariners as well against Dylan Bundy. I love me some Mitch Haniger!

Anthony Rendon
Jared Walsh

Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout will over be overpriced because people are going to play them just about every day. However, you don't need to pay up to get the most out of this Angels lineup.

Among 306 pitchers with 150 batted ball events, Hernandez was the 22nd worst in barrels per plate appearance at 7.6%. His fastball tops out at 94 mph and he gets hit hard.

I'm not sure I will have multiple Marlins in any of my lineups, but if you need a cheap value play, taking a Miami player facing Michael Lorenzen is not a bad idea.

Tampa Bay Rays vs Paul Blackburn

Wander Franco
Brandon Lowe

Wander Franco is off to a good start with six hits and three RBI already, but just one extra-base hit. I smell another one or two today.

Brandon Lowe does most of his damage off right-handed pitching. Last year he hit 29 home runs off righties and owned a .399 wOBA and 161 wRC+.
