MLB DFS 6/28 - FanDuel Projection Results

Last night we promoted our 3B projections, as we were very confident in them. Danny Valencia, Kyle Seager and Adrian Beltre lived up to the hype, but Christian Villanueva was a bit of a letdown.

Rafael Devers and Max Muncy exceeded expectations.

In just 166 AB, Muncy how has 16 home runs, 8 doubles and owns the following triple slash - .259/.401/.596.

6 Pack For Cash via @Wolfpack_DFS

  • Lance McCullers SP, $10.4k vs Tampa Bay Rays
  • Ian Kinsler 2B, $3.1k @ Red Sox - Brian Johnson (L)
  • Travis Shaw 3B, $3.5k @ Reds - Anthony DeSclafani (R)
  • J.D. Martinez OF, $4.9k vs Angels - Jaime Barria (R)
  • Andrew Benintendi OF, $4k vs Angles - Jaime Barria (R)
  • Josh Reddick OF, $2.6k @ Rays - Ryan Stanek (R)

If you build a lineup around these six players, you are left with $6.5k for a C-1B, SS, UTIL trio. Unfortunately, in a 4 game slate, this is one of those nights you just have to pay up for pitching as options are limited.

At SS, Scott Kingery, Marwin Gonzalez and David Fletcher are all batting 6th tonight.  Orlando Arcia is an option as well but hitting 8th.

When looking for a C-1B, the Astros are batting Tyler White 7th and Brian McCann 8th.  Might be worth saving that $200, by passing on Christian Vasquez, to find the best UTIL player available.

Finally, to fill your UTIl spot with $2.2k, you can add whichever Astro you passed on between White/McCann at C-1B.  Another option is Angels 3B David Fletcher, who is SS eligible on FanDuel.

If you want Nick Williams at UTIL, batting 5th for the Phillies tonight against the Nationals Tanner Roark, you still have the Astros options at C-1B with Arcia at short!

Jake Odorizzi is the top pitcher, priced under $7000, with a 30.05 projection. At $6.8k, his value is a slate high 4.6x.

Odorizzi is priced below, but projected to outscore:

The Twins starter will matchup, on the road, against the White Sox and Lucas Giolito.

Two of his last 5 games have gone negative, but his two previous starts this season, vs the White Sox, have averaged 29 FanDuel points.

Chicago owns the 5th worst wOBA in the month of June at .282, with a league-high 27.3 K%.

Not only does the Twins SP look like a solid play today, but you should feel comfortable stacking the Minnesota bats against Giolito as well.

Among pitchers with 70+ innings pitched, Lucas is the lone pitcher with a FIP/xFIP above 6.00, an ERA over 7.00 and his 5.95 SIERA is also the worst in the league.

Eddie Rosario and Eduardo Escobar are two of the top 4 projected hitters today, both priced at $3.6k,

Rosario (16.8) holds a 4.1x value and the only player at or above 4.0x with a projection greater than 12.01. That belongs to his teammate, Logan Morrison.

Escobar is the top projected 3B at 12.76, yet priced below Nolan Arenado and Jed Lowrie.

That being said, the Twins are not projected to be the top scoring team today.

The Mariners have a slight advantage there (5.5 vs 5.1). Jimmy Yacabonis will be the opposing pitcher for the Orioles, at home in Baltimore.
