Welcome to the NBA DFS 1-1-22 FanDuel Picks article!
We've got a five-game slate on this New Years' Day. The Warriors and Jazz game should be a classic, and the other games will most likely be one-sided.
The Bulls and Wizards game might be the only other competitive game for tonight's slate. But either way, there are plenty of opportunities to win some money.
NBA DFS 1-1-22 NBA DFS FanDuel Picks
San Antonio Spurs @ Detroit Pistons
Chicago Bulls @ Washington Wizards
Los Angeles Clippers @ Brooklyn Nets
Denver Nuggets @ Houston Rockets
Golden State Warriors @ Utah Jazz
Facundo Campazzo, Denver Nuggets $5,500
Campazzo won't have a breakout game but will help put up some solid numbers at his low price. He averaged 7.6 points, 5.8 assists, 2.4 rebounds, and two steals in his previous five games. His numbers should be higher with his great matchup against the Rockets.
The Rockets allow most fantasy points per game to point guards. They allow 23.9 points, 8.3 assists, and 6.7 rebounds per game to point guards.
Kevin Porter Jr., Houston Rockets $7,100

After missing 12 games with a thigh injury, Porter has returned and looked great in his game against the Lakers, with 22 points, nine assists, and five rebounds. Now, he has a great matchup against the Nuggets.
As previously mentioned, the Nuggets are missing most of their team, so Porter won't have the stiffness competition to get to the bucket. Plus, The Nuggets allow the fourth-most fantasy points (48.8) per game to point guards. They allow 22.6 points, 8.9 assists, and 7.1 rebounds per game to point guards.
Porter should at least have a double-double, but it is out of the question for him to have his first triple-double.
Patty Mills, Brooklyn Nets $6,600
Mills' matchup against the Clippers would have been considered a tough matchup at the beginning of the season, but today it's a great matchup.
The Clippers are dealing with many injuries, and their defense has fallen off a cliff because of it. The Clippers allow 20.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game to shooting guards.
Jordan Clarkson, Utah Jazz $6,400

Mike is dealing with a back injury which means Jordan Clarkson will step up. Clarkson averaged 14.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.1 steals in his past 10 ten games. He has a tough matchup against the Warriors, but his increased minutes and cheap price make Clarkson a must-start tonight.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Washington Wizards $5,000
Caldwell-Pope had a decent game back after missing a few games; he finished with 12 points, four assists, two rebounds, and two steals against Cleveland.
Tonight, he has an excellent matchup against the Bulls, who allow fifth-most fantasy points per game to small forwards. They allow 22.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game to SFs.
Saddiq Bey, Detroit Piston $6,700

— Hoops News (@HoopsNews5) December 12, 2020
Bey is having a decent season so far, averaging 27.5 fantasy points, 14.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
The Pistons are missing so many players, making Bey the Pistons' primary scorer. He has a tough matchup against the Spurs, but he falls into the Jordan-Clarkson category. A good scorer who is going against a defense that shuts down his position, but his minutes and price make him too good to pass up.
Otto Porter, Golden State Warriors $6,300
Draymond Green and James Wiseman are in the league's health protocols, which means Porter Jr will have increased in minutes in the post. He has a tough matchup against the Jazz but will get enough minutes to make him a value pick at his price.
Keldon Johnson, San Antonio Spurs $6,200

Johnson has been on a tear recently, averaging 17.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and one assist in his last nine games. Now he has the best matchup for power forwards tonight against the Rockets.
The Rockets allow 22.2 points, 11 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game to power forwards this season.
Nikola Vucevic, Chicago Bulls $9,500
This is one of the rare times I'll suggest spending money on a center, but Vucevic's matchup against the Wizards is too good to pass up.
The Wizards allow the third-most fantasy points (57 points) per game to centers. They allow 23.5 points, 16.4 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game to centers.
