NBA DFS 1-20-21 DraftKings Value Picks

on

Welcome to the NBA DFS 1-20-21 DraftKings Value Picks article!

We’ve got a ten nine-game slate with some great pairings for tonight’s action. On top of another Wizards game (@Hornets) being postponed, the NBA has postponed the Blazers-Grizzlies game tonight.

The cheap pairing is the Rockets’ Victor Oladipo ($7,800) and Eric Gordon ($5,550). You get two of the main scorers on a viable offense.

The intermediate pairing is the Mavericks’ Kristaps Porzingis ($7,900) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (5,800).

The expensive pairing is the Suns’ Devin Booker ($8,200) and Mikal Bridges ($5,700). You get a high volume shooter and a player who plays down and dirty in the post but isn’t afraid to shoot from the outside.

Oh, and if you’re feeling lucky, try TVG Montana to earn some extra coin.

Ten-Game Slate

Kings @ Clippers (-10.5) – 230 over/under
Spurs @ Warriors (-1) – 228.5
Nets (-10) @ Cavs – 224 o/u
Heat @ Raptors (-4) – 222 o/u
Celtics @ Sixers (-4.5) – 220.5 o/u
Pistons @ Hawks (-5) – 220.5 o/u
Suns (-5.5) @ Rockets – 219 o/u
Mavs @ Pacers (-1) – 218.5 o/u
Magic (-3.5) @ Wolves – 216.5 o/u
Grizzlies @ Blazers – PPD

Point Guard

Derrick Rose, Detroit Pistons $5,400

Killian Hayes is out for the year, and the Pistons don’t trust Delon Wright to run the offense, which is why he splits time with Rose.

Derrick Rose has thrived in his timeshare with Wright. Rose is averaging 14.8 points, 5.2 assists, 1.2 steals, and one rebound in his previous five games.

He’ll be facing the Atlanta Hawks, who have been so-so against point guards. They’re allowing 26.4 points, 8.9 assists, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game to point guards.

Rose will be guarded by Trae Young, and Rose has owned him in previous matchups. He averages 21.6 points, 5.8 assists, and 2.6 rebounds when guarded by Young.

Shooting Guard

Malik Beasley, Minnesota Timberwolves $6,900

Beasley has been on a scoring run recently. Even with a cold night shooting against the Hawks on Monday, Beasley is averaging 21.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in his previous five games.

Now he has a decent matchup against the Magic tonight. The Magic allow 24.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game to shooting guards. So, Beasley should have a bounce-back game in the points category.

Small Forward

De’Andre Hunter, Atlanta Hawks $6,200

Hunter should be a solid contributor at an extreme value, so you can spend elsewhere.

He is averaging 17.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and one steal in his previous five games. Tonight, he has a matchup against one of the worst defenses in the association, the Detroit Pistons.

The Pistons have the seventh-worst defensive rating and allow 22.9 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game to small forwards.

Hunter should be facing Jerami Grant, and Hunter averages 13 points, five rebounds, and 2.7 assists when being guarded by Grant.

Power Forward

Jeff Green, Brooklyn Nets $4,300

The Nets got rid of most of their big bodies in the Harden trade, which has increased Green’s starting minutes. He has been fantastic with his increased workload.

Green is averaging 11.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and one assist in his previous three games. Now he has a great matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers allow 23.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game to power forwards.

Jeff Green will be covered by Larry Nance Jr., who Green has had success against.

He averages 11 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists and shoots 51 percent from the field when being guarded by Nance.

Center

LaMarcus Aldridge, San Antonio Spurs $6,100

Aldridge is one of the few centers that are still a crucial part of their offense (though that’s starting to change with the emergence of Dejounte Murray).

He is averaging 14 points, five rebounds, and 2.8 assists in his last five games. He should be able to raise those averages against tonight’s game against the Warriors.

Golden State is allowing 23 points, 15.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game to centers. Aldridge gets the added bonus of playing against a rookie. So, the old man should show this young whippersnapper how a real man plays in the post in the NBA.
