Welcome to the NBA DFS 1-22-22 FanDuel Picks article!

We don't have a ton of games to choose from tonight (thanks NFL), only a three-game slate. It's sad to say, but all of these matchups have the chance to be one-sided. The Pacers and Suns game might be the most competitive out of the bunch.

Because we only have a three-game slate, we must be extra diligent when choosing values to stack with our superstars.

Three-Game Slate

Sacramento Kings @ Milwaukee Bucks
Oklahoma City Thunder @ Cleveland Cavaliers
Indiana Pacers @ Phoenix Suns

Point Guards

Darius Garland, Cleveland Cavaliers $8,600

He has been on a tear recently, averaging 22.4 points, 12.8 assists, and six rebounds in his previous five games. Now has the best matchup for point guards tonight against Oklahoma City.

The Thunder allows 21.6 points, 9.4 assists, and 6.4 rebounds per game to point guards. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be the Thunder assigned to guard Garland, and Gilgeous-Alexander has struggled in the past with that assignment.

Garland averages 20 points, 9.8 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals when guarded by Gilgeous-Alexander. The last time they faced off against each other, Garland walked away with 27 points and 18 assists. So, Garland is almost guaranteed to have a double-double tonight.

De'Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings $8,300

Please don't shy away from any players from the Kings because they are facing off against the defensive juggernaut, the Bucks. Now I'm not saying pick whoever, but Fox is definitely the Kings' shooter you want in your lineup because he has owned Jrue Holiday this season.

Fox is averaging 24.6 points, seven assists, and three rebounds when guarded by Holiday.

Shooting Guards

Josh Giddey, Oklahoma City Thunder $6,100

Giddey will be a solid value play since he is a starter and has recently put up substantial numbers.

He averaged 13.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 1.2 steals in his last nine games and had a solid outing last time against Isaac Okoro.

Giddey walked away with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists in their previous matchup.

Isaac Okoro, Cleveland Cavaliers $3,800

Speaking of Isaac Okoro, he has a fantastic matchup against the Thunder, who can't stop shooting guards at all.

The Thunder allow the second-most fantasy points (42.9 points) to shooting guards. They allow 22.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game to shooting guards.

Small Forwards

Harrison Barnes, Sacramento Kings $6,000

Barnes is not a sure thing as his teammate Fox, but he should be a solid contributor for DFS players at a reasonable price.

The Bucks have been a great defensive team but have struggled at stopping small forwards from putting up points. This season, they allow 21.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game to small forwards. Barnes has had decent success against Khris Middleton in previous matchups.

Barnes averages 13.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists when guarded by Middleton. So, Barnes will be another solid scorer at a reasonable price like Josh Giddey.

Mikal Bridges, Phoenix Suns $5,100

Since we are spending big money on point guards and Giannis, we have to save some cash, and Bridges is a great way to save money and still get decent production.

He averaged 12.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in his previous 10 games and will be relied on to provide some scoring since Ayton will be out.

The Cavaliers have played small forwards strong defensively, but Bridges' volumes trumps the bad matchup.

Power Forward

Lauri Markkanen, Cleveland Cavaliers $6,200

Markkanen has increased his trade value with his recent production; he averaged 16.4 points, six rebounds, and 1.4 steals in his previous five games.

Tonight, he has a great matchup against the Thunder, who allow the fifth-most fantasy points to power forwards. They allow 21.4 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game to power forwards.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks $11,400

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the only absolute NBA superstar on tonight's bill, so you definitely need to have him in your lineup.

Plus, The Kings allow the third-most fantasy points (46.3) to all positions, and with the way Antetokounmpo is currently playing, he is a one-person wrecking crew.

JaVale McGee, Phoenix Suns $4,400

As I previously mentioned, the Suns have declared that Deandre Ayton is out against the Pacers, which means they will rely on veteran McGee to fill in the starting lineup.

Now, McGee probably won't put up a 20 point game as he did against the Pistons but should have enough rebounds and blocks to make him useful in DFS lineups.
