NBA DFS 1-25-19: Jimmer’s 5 DraftKings Locks

NBA DFS 1-25-19 DraftKings Locks

If you read yesterday's blog post, you saw that I personally locked in Paul George (54.75), Jrue Holiday (63.25), Kelly Oubre Jr. (45.50), and Dragan Bender (27.25). Julius Randle (ankle) was scratched at 7 pm EST which led to Darius Miller going up over 11x value! Jahlil Okafor was projected to hit 6.9x but finished at "just" 5.6x.

Hopefully, you joined in my footsteps and played them as they all threw up that fire flame.

Just a four-game slate last night, tonight we have a 10 games slate to attack.

There are tons of question marks today, including Rudy Gobert, Andre Drummond, Jeff Teague, Derrick Rose, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Larry Nance Jr., Richaun Holmes and OG Anunoby.

Nikola Jokic will serve his one game suspension tonight.

Deandre Ayton has been ruled out.

Kawhi Leonardis expected to play.

James Harden, PG/SG, Houston Rockets - $13,800

Is there ever a reason to fade James Harden? With Chris Paul, Clint Capela, Michael Carter-Williams and Carmelo Anthony off the court (various and obvious reasons), Harden has a 51.2% usage rate and a staggering 2.09 fantasy points per minute. He should be locked into every single lineup you make.

Harden is averaging over 76.5 DK points in 11 games in the month of January!

Wisdom of the Crowd Projection - 67.66 / 4.9x / vs Raptors

D’Angelo Russell, PG/SG, Brooklyn Nets - $8,600

D-Russ has been on a complete tear lately, three straight and four out of five games hitting 50+ fantasy points. While playing upwards of 30 minutes each game, his shot has been falling and he’s been taking full advantage. Russell carries a usage rate of 32.4% and holds a 1.34 Fantasy points per minute. He also has at least 7 assists in 6 straight games. In a plus matchup, as the Knicks struggle versus guards, Russell should keep the 50 DK fantasy point streak going.

Wisdom of the Crowd Projection - 42.59 / 5.0x / vs Knicks

Andrew Wiggins, SG/SF, Minnesota Timberwolves - $5,700

While I am expecting Tyus Jones, Derrick Rose, and Jeff Teague to all sit this one out, Andrew Wiggins will be a smash play. With those three mentioned out, Wiggins holds a 29.7% usage rate and a 1.16 fantasy points per minute. Wiggins is consistently playing upwards of 30 minutes and has no choice but to ball out. It will be all Karl-Anthony Towns and Wiggins tonight.

Wisdom of the Crowd Projection - 29.73 / 5.2x / @ Jazz

Bobby Portis, PF/C, Chicago Bulls - $5,700

Centers facing the Los Angeles Clippers is a spot I have been attacking all season and there’s no reason to stop now. Since coming back from injury, Portis has been a little shaky but this is the perfect matchup for him to right the ship. The Clippers are giving up 26.3 points and 16.9 rebounds per game to the center position and Bobby Portis is in a prime position to eat. Starting or not, he is a top priority of mine.

Wisdom of the Crowd Projection - 29.84 / 5.2x / vs Clippers

Shabazz Napier, PG/SG, Brooklyn Nets - $3,600

With Spencer Dinwiddie out for possibly 4-6 weeks, Napier will be the primary option off the bench and should pick up mid to high minutes in the 20s. Holding a 22.6% usage rating with Caris Levert, Dinwiddie and other obvious players off the court, he also holds a .85 fantasy points per minute. Now I know that isn’t great but if he’s playing high 20 minutes at $3,600 he is a stone cold value lock.

Wisdom of the Crowd Projection - 22.74 / 6.3x / vs Knicks
