Welcome to the NBA DFS 1-29-21 DraftKings picks article!

There haven't been any games postponed yet which is always a great thing!

Last night there was a simple four-game slate but tonight there will be ten on tonight's main slate.

Making the right picks will be crucial tonight with so many games to choose from.

These are the players I don't mind paying for.

10 Game Slate

Bucks (-7) @ Pelicans - 230 o/u
Nets (-7) @ Thunder - 229 o/u
Kings @ Raptors (-5.5) - 228.5 o/u
Sixers (-7) @ Wolves - 225.5 o/u
Nuggets (-4.5) @ Spurs - 222 o/u
Pacers (-3.5) @ Hornets - 221 o/u
Mavs @ Jazz (-3.5) - 221.5 o/u
Clippers @ Magic (-3.5) - 213 o/u
Cavs (-1) @ Knicks - 208.5 o/u

Guards

Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks, ($9,100)

Young has been unguardable, averaging about 37 points and about 9 assists per game over the past four games.

He couldn't ask for a better opponent as the Wizards currently have the worst defense in the league. Point guards are averaging about 55 DK points per game against them which is a big reason why.

The only worry I have here is that this may end up in a blowout which would limit Young's time on the floor.

Still, Young is underpriced at $9,100.

Ben Simmons, Philadelphia 76ers, ($7,700)

Simmons is coming off a good game in the win against the Lakers, getting his third triple-double of the season.

I look for him to follow up that performance against the terrible Timberwolves. This is the first time this season that he is being priced under $8K.

The T-Wolves are playing at the second-highest pace over the past three games which should work in his favor, as they have the fourth-worst fast break defense.

Simmons should have his way in the paint with the absence of Karl-Anthony Towns.

Kyrie Irving, Brooklyn Nets, ($8,700)

When the James Harden trade happened everyone thought that the trio would have to sacrifice in order to work.

That hasn't been the case for Kyrie as he's averaging almost 27 points per game since he joined Harden and Kevin Durant. The trade has left the Nets with a lack of depth which has resulted in Irving playing more minutes than usual.

Kevin Durant has been ruled out tonight.

Forwards

Domantas Sabonis, Indiana Pacers, ($9,200)

Sabonis gets overlooked often because he plays for the Pacers but he has been playing on a different level this season.

The all-star forward is averaging career highs in (20.4) points and (5.8) assists so far this season.

Sabonis dropped a triple-double on Wednesday when these two teams faced off and I would be surprised if he didn't do it again.

The Hornets allow the most DK points to Power Forwards in the league, about 55 DK points per game.

Aaron Gordon, Orlando Magic, ($7,100)

I'm going to start off by saying on paper this isn't a good matchup. However, I like this matchup a lot if Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are out due to COVID-19 protocols.

Gordon has become more valuable in the fantasy world since he's been playing the point-forward position. The former Slam Dunk champion is averaging nearly seven assists over the past nine games.

He will look to make up for the 15DK point performance he gave last game against the Kings.

DeMar Derozan, San Antonio Spurs, ($6,800)

Derozan has always been known for his scoring but his passing has been great this season. The 4-time All-Star is averaging about 7 assists per game, a career-high.

He has scored at least 20 points in four of the last six games he has played. I expect him to score at least 20 against this soft Nuggets defense and that should be enough to reach value at a season-low of $6,800.

In those same six games, he has averaged about 37 DK points per game.
