The NBA is here and it feels like a holiday for all NBA fans! At least it does for me, Cody Cook, aka @DProdiogy. I'm so excited to be here breaking down the NBA DFS 10-26-23 DraftKings Breakdown of the two-game NBA slate!
In our first game, we have the Philadelphia 76ers taking on the new super team in the Milwaukee Bucks who are 6-point favorites. The over/under is the lower counterpart on this slate at 225.5 points.
The second and last game of the slate is the Phoenix Suns taking on the Los Angeles Lakers. It is a close spread of the Los Angeles Lakers are favorites by 1.5 points. The over/under is coming in at 228.5 points.
Our injury report lists James Harden and Jarred Vanderbilt listed as out. With those players highlighted players as non-options, let's look at the rest of the slate!

PG - Tyrese Maxey, $7,500, Philadelphia 76ers
We have seen this script before with James Harden not playing and it is time to shine for Tyrese Maxey. James Harden is already listed as out for the season opener, meaning Tyrese Maxey will slide into the starting role. In 13 games without James Harden, Tyrese Maxey averaged 24.5 points and 5.4 assists last season. He is an easy click to start your lineup for the small two-game slate. His price tag on FanDuel is very similar to DraftKings.
Other Options- Damian Lillard and Patrick Beverley
SG - Eric Gordon, $4,400, Phoenix Suns
The value play of the slate is going to be Taurean Prince on the Los Angeles Lakers. I am looking to pivot away from him and his lucky shooting night, to Eric Gordon.
I am looking past the past game for him and his shooting woes. Despite the ball not falling for him, the minutes were something to key in on coming in at 32 minutes last game. Furthermore, once the shot hits for him and with his minutes locked in, the value price tag will work wonders for our lineups including on FanDuel. Lastly, Devin Booker is expected to be out in this game and Eric Gordon should see a huge boost in production.

SF - Kelly Oubre Junior, $5,700, Philadelphia 76ers
Kelly Oubre Jr.'s role on his newly profound team is the most interesting part of me in this position. Above you can notice James Harden is out which will open up minutes to be tossed around the team.
Nick Nurse who took over the coaching job in Philadelphia has talked about the role of Kelly Oubre Jr. a little bit already at the wing spot. In regards to minutes, he should see quality minutes off the bench and we know the shot can get hot for him. On Fanduel, the price tag is super low for his production.

PF - Giannis Antetokounmpo, $10,200, Milwakuee Bucks
First off, this position is locked and loaded with stud options on DraftKings. Giannis Antetokounmpo has a new best friend on the team. Damian Lillard's trade shocked the NBA world when the news broke. In addition, the pressure is going to be off of Giannis Antetokounmpo now with a lethal threat in Damian Lillard on the team.
Can we see him go nuclear on this slate? I certainly think so. Furthermore, he is the highest option on FanDuel.
Other Options- Lebron James and Kevin Durant
C - Joel Embiid, $10,300, Philadelphia 76ers
The last and the most important position to me on this slate is the center spot. Although the salary is sky-high, Joel Embiid is in a great spot against the Milwaukee Bucks. Throughout his career, the success has been there against this team. I want the stars in this game which is another reason why I love Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Lastly, the stars will align in this game and I am banking on the over to smash in this game!
