NBA DFS 11-2-23 DraftKings Picks

Thanksgiving is approaching, and I am here to bring you the NBA DFS 11-16-23 DraftKings Breakdown basketball picks! My name is Cody Cook aka @DProdiogy and I will discuss the 2-game slate.

The first game on the table is the Brooklyn Nets taking on the Miami Heat as 4-point favorites. The over/under is coming in low at 217 points.

The late-night hammer is the Oklahoma City Thunder as a surprise favorite at 3 points taking on the Golden State Warriors. The over/under is coming in high at 227.5 points.

Our injury report lists Stephen Curry, Ben Simmons, Cam Thomas, and Tyler Herro, listed as out. With those highlighted players as non-options, let's look at the rest of the slate!

PG - Brandin Podziemski, $4,600, Golden State Warriors

The round-one pick of the 2023 NBA draft made a name for himself last game. Brandin Podziemski might sound like a crazy name but he is coming off a career performance earning 43 DraftKings points. The ejections might have helped him earn minutes but the performance speaks for itself.

Steve Kerr, the head coach of the Golden State Warriors, already spoke about Podziemski earning more playing time. Furthermore, the injury to Stephen Curry opens up rotation minutes to be given out. The pace of the game will be in his favor as well. In the rookie we trust!

Other Options- Josh Giddey and Chris Paul

SG - Spencer Dinwiddie, $6,900, Brooklyn Nets

First off, the injury to Ben Simmons has boosted Spencer Dinwiddie in terms of DraftKings simply because of the usage rates. Dinwiddie is taking advantage of being the main guy as well with Cam Thomas injured. He is coming off a 50 DraftKings points performance because his shots fell for him.

I know it is risky depending on if his shot hits but the assist numbers were tied with his season high as well. He is now the focal point of the offense. Furthermore, the minutes are key for him and they are certainly a sky-high number for now.

Other Options- Klay Thompson and Josh Richardson

SF - Jaime Jaquez Junior, $4,500, Miami Heat

I am taking another rookie for this short two-game slate. Jaime Jacquez Jr. is a first-round rookie out of the 2023 NBA draft out of UCLA. He went from a bench role player to now playing over 30 minutes a game. He is currently earning over 24 DraftKings points a game the past three games.

The main reason why I love him on this slate is he is a value piece coming in at a great price tag. The big man has decent rebound numbers but the value is coming from his three-point shot. Lock and load him as a value play on this short slate.

Other Options- Jimmy Butler and Andrew Wiggins

PF - Cameron Johnson, $5,900, Brooklyn Nets

I am loving this first game on the slate even though there are only two games. Cameron Johnson was productive as can be last game. Despite the injuries, he had a season-high 20 "real life" points. He earned 36 DraftKings points last game as well.

He is a key piece for this offense and the defensive skills he brings to the table. The steals upside he brings is the main piece of his defense with three steals last game. I am on the recency bias buy-in and that's why I am all over him in this slate.

Other Options- Duncan Robinson and Mikal Bridges

C - Dario Saric, $5,200, Golden State Warriors

This is the slate of the value I swear! We got news that Draymond Green is out for his incident against the Minnesota Timberwolves brawl. He is being suspended for 5 games. In the wake of the suspension, this is now the time to shine for Dario Saric. He should see an increase in his playing time and usage rates.

Last game when Draymond Green was ejected, Saric saw 32 minutes and earned a season-high 36 DraftKings points. The DraftKings points didn't come from the defensive skills; it came from scoring 21 actual points. Take the price tag while you can because it is going up over the next 5 games.

Other Options- Nic Claxton and Bam Adebayo
