NBA DFS 11-17-22 Yahoo Breakdown

by Cody Cook

Cody Cook, aka @DProdiogy, here breaking down the NBA DFS 11-17-2022 Yahoo three-game NBA slate!

We have a late three-game slate. The first game is the San Antonio Spurs traveling to Sacramento to face off against the Kings who are 7-point favorites. The over/under is the highest one on the slate set at 237.5 points.

The aggravated role of Kevin Durant is leading the Brooklyn Nets to Portland against the Trail Blazers who are 2.5-point favorites. The over/under is set at 220.5 points.

Last game, the Detroit Pistons are full of injuries facing off against the Los Angeles Clippers who are 9.5 point favorites. The over/under is set low at 216 points.

Our injury report has Kyrie Irving, Cade Cunningham, and Isaiah Stewart listed as out. With those three players as non-options, let's look at the rest of the slate.

NBA DFS 11-17-22 Yahoo Breakdown

Point Guard - Killian Hayes, Detriot Pistons, $11

We are kicking off this slate with one of my favorite value plays. Killian Hayes is seeing a boost to his usage rates with the Detroit Pistons stacked with injuries. Cade Cunningham is out for this game and Killian is making the most of his extended starting role. In the past three games, Killian has seen over 30 minutes in two out of three games. The price tag is just too cheap to pass for the value we can get from his role.

Other Options- John Wall and Tre Jones

Shooting Guard - Jaden Ivey, Detroit Pistons, $20

I am going right back to the well to another Detriot Piston seeing a huge impact on his minutes with Cade Cunningham out. Jaden Ivey has seen his role expand and the rookie is balling out. In the past four out of five games, Jaden has earned over 30 fantasy points. The rookie is putting up phenomenal numbers and to play Jaden at $20 is crazy to me. I will continue to ride the Jaden rookie of the year train!

Other Options-Paul George and Devin Vassell

Small Forward - Keldon Johnson, $29, San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs have been interesting from a fantasy sports aspect because we know how Greg Popovich likes to change things up sometimes! The one constant though is Keldon Johnson and the minutes he receives. Keldon is the lead man in town and we continue to see him hit 40 fantasy points every other night. The matchup is amazing for him here and I'm ready to take advantage of it!

Other Options-Kevin Durant and Josh Hart

Power Forward - Jerami Grant, $26, Portland Trail Blazers

Now talk about riding a hot wave! Grant has been hitting game-winners all season and the fantasy production is backing it up! In the past two out of the three games, Grant has hit two 50 fantasy point games...I repeat 50 fantasy points. I am riding this trend and how does it stop against a defenseless Brooklyn Nets team? The Nets are horrible against big men and Grant can exploit that easily. Grant please drop a 50 fantasy point bomb for the crew!

Other Options- Ben Simmons and Marcus Morris Senior

Center - Jakob Poeltl, $28, San Antonio Spurs

Jakob Poeltl exploded last game against the Portland Trail Blazers and I certainly think he can do the same in this matchup. The matchup on paper is going to be fast and it is the highest over/under on the slate. I am not scared of the lack of defense the Sacramento Kings play in the paint. We just saw Kevon Looney grab 10 rebounds against the Kings and I think Jakob can hit over 10 easily in rebounds.

Other Options-Domantas Sabonis and Marvin Bagley III
