on

Welcome to the NBA DFS 11-26-21 DraftKings Picks article! I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving!

Today we have an enormous 11-game slate of basketball games to build our lineups.

Making the right picks will be crucial tonight with so many players to choose from.

Michael Porter Jr. (back) remains out for the Denver Nuggets in this one, while MVP teammate Nikola Jokic (wrist) is questionable.

Cole Anthony (ankle) is questionable against the Chicago Bulls, while OG Anunoby (hip) is also questionable against the Indiana Pacers.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle) is questionable against the Washington Wizards.

Guards

De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings, $7,700

One strategy that has worked so far in the season is to play one of the best players on a team against the Los Angeles Lakers and watch them reach value. Fox fills that spot today and should smash value being priced under $8K for the first time this week.

Fox has been disappointing so far this season and hasn’t made the jump that most were looking for but this is more about how bad the Lakers are on the defensive end. They currently allow the most DK points (54.70) to point guards this season.

Both teams are in the top 10 when it comes to pace and bad defensively so this should be a high-scoring game. This could be the game that gets Fox on track. He has the potential to erupt in any game, as he showed earlier this month scoring 37 against the San Antonio Spurs.

Head coach Luke Walton was fired earlier this week so that might improve things for Fox as well.

Donovan Mitchell, Utah Jazz, $8,400

His shooting has been off the last two games but his peripheral stats have made up for the slump. Mitchell has to break out his slump eventually and I suspect it will be tonight against the Pelicans.

Spida is currently fifth in the NBA among usage (32.9%) and field goals attempted leaders (20.2), two numbers that are hard to ignore going against this Pelicans defense. The Pelicans are currently in the bottom three in defensive efficiency and Mitchell shouldn’t be heavily owned with such a huge slate.

Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks, $9,300

Ice Trae has been heating up lately and has scored 30 points in his last two games. In fact, he has only scored less than 20 points in a game twice this month.

It’s hard to ignore Young tonight as he will be going against the Grizzlies who have been arguably the worst team defensively this season, they are last in defensive efficiency and allow the most points per game.

Giving up the fifth-most DK points to point guards look for Young to go off tonight as this will also be a pace-up game for the Hawks, everything is lining up for Young to smash value.

I had a hard time choosing between Young and Ja Morant, but Young’s potential to go off from deep and assists were the deciding factor.

Forwards

Miles Bridges, Charlotte Hornets, $7,800

As I stated last week, Bridges is a must-start anytime he is under $8K until further notice. He has been shaky with his scoring over the past few games but I expect him to have a big game tonight. Currently having a career season so far, he scored a career-high 35 points last week against the Hawks.

The Timberwolves are a middle-of-the-pack team when it comes to defense but I don’t have faith that they have the talent to stop Bridges.

The Hornets are third in pace, while the Timberwolves are just outside the top ten so there should be ample opportunities for him to stuff the stat sheet.

Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves, $7,500

I like Edwards as the most likely player to smash value out of my picks. Due to his shooting volume, he has a high floor and I would be shocked if he didn’t have a big game tonight. The sophomore forward has avoided the proverbial “slump” as he is averaging 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.

The walking highlight reel is coming off a great performance Wednesday, scoring 33 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Going against the Hornets will be a pace-up game for Edwards and they are currently allowing the third-most points in the league so this will be a shootout.

He may become chalk after his last performance but at under $8K he’s a must-start.

Josh Giddey, Oklahoma City Thunder, $6,500

The Australian rookie has been solid so far and has stepped his game up even more with the absence of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He has averaged seven more points and two more assists in games SGA hasn’t played. His usage rate increases by six points in those games as well.

The Wizards have been solid defensively this year to much surprise, but if SGA is absent again then it’s hard to pass up on Giddey at this price with his usage.

While he isn’t known for his scoring prowess, he is an all-around player and makes up for it with his peripheral stats, he already has three double-doubles so far.
