Christmas season is approaching, and since it is better to give than receive, I am here to give you the NBA DFS 11-30-23 DraftKings Breakdown basketball picks! No, I'm not Santa Claus. My name is Cody Cook aka @DProdiogy and perhaps I give you a little seasonal magic as I discuss this 9-game slate.
The first game on the slate is the Portland Trail Blazers taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers as 11-point favorites. The over/under is set at 219 points. Our second game is the injury-riddled Charlotte Hornets facing off against the Brooklyn Nets as 8-point favorites. The over/under is coming in at 226 points.
The Indiana Pacers as 2.5-point favorites at the Miami Heat are seeing the second-highest over/under on the slate at 238 points. At the opposite end of the spectrum is over/under at 218 for the Detroit Pistons who are looking for a much-needed win against the New York Knicks who are 13-point favorites.
Other games include:
--Milwaukee Bucks (-8) against the trade rumored Chicago Bulls with an over/under of 227
--The Lakers at the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are 7-point favorites, also with a 227 over/under
--In San Antonio, the Atlanta Hawks are 8-point favorites versus the Spurs with the highest over/under of the slate at 245 points.
--The Los Angeles Clippers head up north for a game with the Golden State Warriors and a close spread at 4 points with an over/under at 226 points.

PG - Kyle Lowry, $5,600, Miami Heat
I didn't include the players above that are questionable on this slate. Yet Kyle Lowry is benefiting a ton due to the injuries befallen various members of the Miami Heat. One to note is the star of the team Jimmy Butler. Lowry has taken advantage of Butler being out based on the minutes he has sustained.
For example, Lowry earned 40 DraftKings points last game shooting 7-10 FG. The veteran on the team is helping bolster the young players with six assists last game. Keep in mind, the pace of this game will be quick facing off against the Indiana Pacers.
SG - Terry Rozier, $7,700, Charlotte Hornets
I am going right back to the well with Terry Rozier. And I surprisingly feel good about taking my chances on him. I played him on 11/28/23 against the New York Knicks and it was terrible. Last game, Rozier only earned 21.5 DraftKings points. You have to have the memory of a goldfish and move on to the next slate. But I expect tonight to be different.
As I stated above LaMelo Ball is out for an extended period. Rozier is the lead man on the team and the DraftKings price tag only slightly moved up. We have seen Rozier hit 44 DraftKings points against the Brooklyn Nets and I am hoping for the same outcome again!
SF - RJ Barrett, $6,000, New York Knicks
I typically stray away from the New York Knicks players on DraftKings but on this slate, RJ Barrett is someone to key in on. The DraftKings price tag is staying low for him and the time is now to take advantage of it. The shooting numbers are down the last two games for Barrett, driving his price down.
Despite the shooting woes, he is still hitting at least 15 DraftKings points. One might say that is terrible but he is shooting over 10 times a game. We saw Julius Randle go into a downward spiral for some of this season in regards to DraftKings points, but this is the game for Barrett to exploit the Detroit Piston's defense and see those shooting numbers rise.
PF - Simone Fontecchio, $4,800, Utah Jazz
The three-time Italian Super Cup winner is entering my DraftKings lineup for this slate. Simone Fontecchio has been on the Utah Jazz since 2022 and this season he is making his impact on the court. With Lauri Markkanen injured, Fontecchio has seen over 25 minutes in the past two games.
The DraftKings price tag is a value to me based on his versatility on the court in regards to the steals and rebounds. The shooting percentage is at a high clip for Fontecchio. I am hoping for a stellar shooting night from him as my value piece for the slate!
C - Jarrett Allen, $6,600, Cleveland Cavaliers
Jarrett Allen is quietly having a nice couple of games with an FG% of .800. He is the type of player that is super boom or boost based on the DraftKings production. The matchup is enticing for me because we know the defense isn't there for DeAndre Ayton on the Portland Trail Blazers.
Centers are accumulating 19 real-life points against the Portland Trail Blazers which is something Allen can sustain. I was surprised the DraftKings price tag was still in the $6,000 range. I am anticipating after this game it will rise. Allen should have a field day in the rebounding category.
