Cody Cook, aka @DProdiogy, here breaking down the NBA DFS 2-16-23 Yahoo Breakdown of the three-game NBA slate!
The trade deadline has come to a close and we have a team on this slate that had made a league-breaking trade!
Milwaukee Bucks, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo trying to prove why he is MVP, are massive favorites coming in at 7 points at the Chicago Bulls.
The Washington Wizards are looking for a win and playing the Minnesota Timberwolves who are 3-point favorites. That over/under is the highest on the slate coming in at 235.5 points.Â
For our last and late night game, the Los Angeles Clippers are playing the newly revamped team with Kevin Durant finding a new home on the Phoneix Suns. The matchup is super tight with the Phoneix Suns as 1-point favorites with the over/under at 224 points.Â
Our injury report lists Kevin Durant, Karl Anthony Towns, Norman Powell, and Pat Connaughton as out. With those four players highlighted players as non-options, let's look at the rest of the slate.
NBA DFS 2-16-23 Yahoo Breakdown
Point Guard - Terance Mann, $12, Los Angeles Clippers
Terance Mann is seeing solid minutes all the way around even though the Los Angeles Clippers acquired Bones Hyland at the trade deadline. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are going to see reduced minutes before the All-Star Break. Â Mann who is an offensive-minded guard is ready to prove his worth. In the past four games, Mann has not earned less than 20 fantasy points. Take advantage of the reduced price tag while you can!
Other Options-Jrue Holiday and Mike Conley
Shooting Guard - Devin Booker, $35, Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns made a huge power move before the trade deadline by trading for Kevin Durant. We won't see the Slim Reaper yet. While we wait though we have the young star in Devin Booker. The minutes are starting to trend up for the Kentucky phenom coming back from injury. With no limitations, Booker has a chance to put up massive numbers in a game lacking the superstars on the opposing team, the Los Angeles Clippers.
Other Options-Grayson Allen and Zach Lavine
Small Forward - Khris Middleton, $21, Milwaukee Bucks
Coming back from injury and limited minutes, Khris Middleton has had his minutes tick up slowly. In the past two games, the former Texas A&M product has played over 24 minutes. Middleton is rebounding well and scoring in all formats. It is nice to see Middleton return to his normal playing style, scoring 30 fantasy points in recent games. In a fantastic matchup, the middle price tag stands out.
Other Options-Kyle Kuzma and Jaden McDaniels
Power Forward - Kristaps Porzingis, $42, Washington Wizards
I rarely write up the unicorn himself and former Dallas Maverick, but I think this is the right time to do so. Kristaps Porzingis played magnificent basketball in the month of February and seems to be the focal point of the offense now. Taking the reins from Bradley Beal, Porzingis has scored real-life double-figure points and the matchup is heavily in his favor in the paint.
Other Options-Josh Okogie and Patrick WilliamsÂ
Center - Brook Lopez, $24, Milwaukee Bucks
Bobby Portis is out for this game and it's time for the Splash Mountain brothers to be ready to roll. Coming off a dud performance, Brook Lopez is in to play all the minutes he can handle. This is a prime bounce-back matchup for Lopez to handle the boards. The mini combo of Lopez and Middleton is set to take off before the All-Star break! The position doesn't offer many options, and I like Lopez's guarantee that we can gather minutes.
Other Options-Ivica Zubac and DeAndre AytonÂ
