NBA DFS 2-3-21 DraftKings Value Picks

on

Welcome to the NBA DFS 2-3-21 DraftKings Value Picks article!

We’ve got a 10-game slate tonight with some great pairings and even greater value picks.

The cheap pairing is the Spurs Dejounte Murray ($6,400) and Keldon Johnson ($6,100). You get the Spurs second and third best scorers against the terrible Timberwolves’ defense.

The intermediate pairing is the Celtics Jaylen Brown ($7,900) and Daniel Theis ($4,800). Brown should have a massive game against the Kings and Theis will be the recipient of some easy buckets due to Brown’s big night.

The expensive pairing is the Suns Devin Booker ($8,000) and Jae Crowder ($5,200). Booker is an elite scorer and Crowder is attempting seven three-pointers per night, so it’s reasonable that both could have double-digit scoring tonight against the Pelicans.

10-Game Slate

Pacers @ Bucks (-8) – 233.5 over/under
Wizards @ Heat (-8) – 229.5 o/u
Celtics (-2) @ Kings – 226.5 o/u
Wolves @ Spurs (-8) – 224 o/u
Suns (-3) @ Pelicans – 223.5 o/u
Sixers (-7) @ Hornets – 223.5 o/u
Mavs (-1.5) @ Hawks – 222.5 o/u
Rockets (-6.5) @ Thunder – 221.5 o/u
Clippers (-7.5) @ Cavs – 218 o/u
Knicks @ Bulls (-3) – 216 o/u

Point Guard

Goran Dragic, Miami Heat $6,100

Dragic has been fantastic this season, averaging 15 points, 5.5 assists (the Heat’s leader in assists), and 3.1 rebounds.

He returned from a groin injury and looked rusty shooting the ball in his previous game against the Hornets, but he was a solid contributor everywhere else. He will be good to go going forward, especially tonight against the Wizards.

Washington is allowing the most fantasy points to point guards. They allow 28.8 points, 9.3 assists, and 7.4 rebounds per game to point guards. Dragic has the perfect matchup to shake off the rust and score some points.

Shooting Guard

Carsen Edwards, Boston Celtics $3,400

This is a super deep value pick, but Carsen Edwards could be a great value since Marcus Smart, and Payton Pritchard are out with injuries. Edwards’ only competition for minutes off the bench is Jeff Teague, who is terrible.

He averaged eight points in his past ten games, which is better than Teague, who averaged four points during that same span. Edwards increased minutes makes him a  prime candidate for value; it also helps he has a fantastic matchup against the Kings

The Kings allow the most fantasy points to shooting guards. Sacramento allows 25.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game to shooting guards.

Small Forward

Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves $5,400

Edwards is starting to get his sea legs and showing some promise as the number one overall pick.

He is averaging 18.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals in his previous five games. Since becoming a starter (which is his last three games), Edwards is averaging 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Now he has a chance to really shine against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs allow the most fantasy points to small forwards. They allow 24.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, and six assists per game to small forwards. So, snatch up the young guy before he becomes a household name.

Power Forward

Tobias Harris, Philadelphia 76ers $7,300

Harris is the Sixers second-leading scorer and is averaging 22 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists I’m his previous five games. Tonight he should have a massive game against the Charlotte Hornets.

The Hornets allow the most fantasy points to power forwards. They allow 25.9 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game to power forwards.

The Hornets will be without PJ Washington, which will give Harris easy unimpeded scoring at the basket with no real defensive threat near the rim.

Center

Daniel Theis, Boston Celtics $4,800

Theis has a matchup against the Kings, who allow the most fantasy points to all positions. Sacramento has struggled against centers as well.

The Kings allow 21.5 points, 16.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game to big men.

Theis has been decent in scoring and defensive stats (12.4 points, 1.4 blocks, and 1.2 steals) in his last five games but hasn’t been grabbing boards lately (3.8 rebounds). Hopefully, with this great matchup, Theis will increase his boards and keep his scoring at the same rate.

I'm a die hard fan of teams that constantly disappointment me every season. So, I write about fantasy sports to forget my sorrows. That's hard sometimes because I'm a Pacers correspondent for Fantasypros.com. I also recently graduated with honors from UNCC. Go Niners...I guess.
