Nine Game Slate

Cavaliers @ Hornets
Bulls @ Pacers
Celtics @ Pistons
Hawks @ Raptors
Rockets @ Spurs
Nets @ Jazz
Pelicans @ Nuggets
76ers @ Mavericks
Thunder @ Trail Blazers

Caris Levert, Indiana Pacers, $8,400

The biggest thing with Levert is availability. Currently, he is one of the few still available for the Pacers with injuries to multiple key players such as Myles Turner (Foot), Domantas Sabonis (COVID), Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) and now rookie Isaiah Jackson (ankle) all out.

With Brogdon and Sabonis out, Levert has been more of a playmaker but with all of the injuries that could be hard to sustain. The ball should go through Levert just about every possession tonight, as he is unarguably the best player on the court for the Pacers right now.

The Bulls have injuries themselves, missing Lonzo Ball (knee) and Alex Caruso (wrist) which makes me feel better about this matchup. Over the past three games, the Bulls have had the worst defense.

Over three games this season, Levert has averaged 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists against the Bulls, which is about 40 DK points.

Fred VanVleet, Toronto Raptors, $8,600

VanVleet seems to finally get some recognition as he was just named to his first All-Star game. He is currently having a career season, averaging a career-high in points and assists.

I look forward to him keeping this hot streak up against the Hawks, who have been bad defensively against guards.

Since the beginning of the year, VanVleet leads the league in three-pointers made per game (4.7), and just outside the top 10 in assists (7.7).

On Monday VanVleet finished with a double-double, 16 points, and 11 assists against the Hawks.

Amongst the guards, only Luka Doncic has a higher ceiling than VanVleet on this slate tonight.

Brandon Ingram, New Orleans Pelicans, $8,200

Ingram came back from a brief absence and had a solid game against the Pistons, scoring 26 points and dishing 4 assists. He is averaging a career-high in assists and has been stuffing the stat sheet this season.

At $8,200 Ingram is too cheap to pass upon and is often looked over so he should be a nice pivot on this slate. Over the past three games, the Nuggets have the seventh-worst defense in the league.

Both teams play at a very slow pace so this won't be an exciting game, but I would be shocked if Ingram didn't hit value tonight.

Scottie Barnes, Toronto Raptors, $6,800

Barnes started the season off hot offensively but has cooled down the past few weeks, however, he still contributes in other areas. The Raptors are playing on a tight rotation so he is seeing over 30 plus minutes a game.

The Hawks have been one of the worst teams defensively, finding themselves in the bottom five when it comes to defensive efficiency. Earlier this week the two teams faced off and Barnes ended the game with just 7 points and 6 rebounds.

Barnes found his footing last night, including the last-second tip-in to send the game into overtime. I think that Monday can be written off as just a bad game.

Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics, $10,600

The Celtics as a whole have reflected Tatum’s season so far, up and down. He hasn't been shooting well as of late but his volume and usage make up for the inefficiency. Just last week he exploded for 51 points against the Wizards.

Tatum is tied for the most field goal attempts per game and is eighth in usage rate among other players in the league.

The Pistons allow the most DK points to small forwards, giving up the most points to the position per game. Over the past month, they are just outside the top 10 in pace, so Tatum should be able to have ample opportunities.

Luguentz Dort, Oklahoma City Thunder, $6,400

With the absence of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle), Dort will have the ball in his hands much more than usual. With Josh Giddey as more of a facilitator, Dort will be needed to score more.

Over the past three games, he is averaging 25 points and about 42 DK points in that span. In games that he plays without SGA, Dort’s usage rate increases from 21% to 26%.

The Trail Blazers have been bad all season and are currently the second-worst team in defending small forwards. On Monday, Dort faced this same Trail Blazers team and ended the night with 35.5 DK points.

At $6,400 Dort is simply too cheap against this team and should be played in all lineups tonight.
