NBA DFS 2-5-21 DraftKings Picks

on

Welcome to the NBA DFS 2-5-21 DraftKings picks article!

Last night there was a fairly simple five-game slate but tonight there will be nine on tonight’s main slate.

Making the right picks will be crucial tonight with so many games to choose from.

These are the higher-priced players I expect to pay off.

Nine Game Slate

Raptors @ Nets (-5.5) – 239.5 over/under
Wizards @ Heat (-7) – 229.5 o/u
Pelicans @ Pacers (-1) – 228 o/u
Bucks (-10.5) @ Cavs – 227.5 o/u
Bulls (-2.5) @ Magic – 224.5 o/u
Jazz (-8.5)  @ Hornets – 223.5 o/u
Wolves (-1) @ Thunder – 221 o/u
Celtics @ Clippers (-6.5) – 220 o/u
Pistons @ Suns (-7.5) – 214 o/u

Guards

Zach Lavine, Chicago Bulls, ($8,400)

With the All-Star game coming up look for LaVine to show why he deserves to make it this year.

I like LaVine against the Magic who are currently on a four-game losing streak.

Over the past three games, Orlando has given up about 118 points per game, bottom 10 in the league.

The Magic are giving up about 46 DK points per game, the third-most in the league.

Kyle Lowry, Toronto Raptors, ($7,800)

By now I’m sure you know the Brooklyn Nets have the worst defense in NBA history since the James Harden trade.

Over the past three games, they are giving up about 131 points, by far the worst in the NBA.

Lowry is currently going through a shooting slump but has still maintained value with his peripheral stats.

Coming off a triple-double against the Magic, Lowry couldn’t ask for a better defense to get back in his shooting groove.

The Raptors will need to beat the Nets at their own run and gun game in order to win, benefitting Lowry most.

Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns, ($7,500)

Although Booker’s numbers have decreased this season with the addition of teammate Chris Paul, he has still scored at least 20 points in all but two games this season.

Booker has the scoring ability to explode for at least 30 points in any given game, and I expect him to do that against the terrible Pistons’ defense. They are currently fifth-worst in defensive efficiency.

Booker’s current salary at $7,500 is the cheapest he has been this season, take advantage.

Forwards

Jimmy Butler, Miami Heat, ($8,300)

Butler has been playing at another level since returning from his long break due to COVID. Since returning to action he is averaging about 48.5 DK points per game.

After losing to the Wizards on Wednesday look for Butler to play with a chip on his shoulder in the rematch. Butler has had his way with the Wizards this season, averaging 52 DK points the past two games against them.

Look for him to be more aggressive after only shooting 11 times Wednesday night,

Domantas Sabonis, Indiana Pacers, ($8,600)

Sabonis is quietly having a career year and is way too cheap at $8,600 to fade.

He has scored at least 40 DK points in all but one game this season, which he left early due to injury. Since that injury, he has averaged 26 points and 11 rebounds per game.

Coming off a career-high 33 points against the Bucks, look for Sabonis to continue his hot streak against the smaller Zion Williamson.

Domantas Sabonis is currently averaging 36.5 minutes per game, 4th-most in the NBA.

He is just about a lock anytime he is below $9,000.

Kevin Durant, Brooklyn Nets, ($9,600)

Despite coming off a torn Achilles injury, Durant is averaging almost 31 points and eight rebounds per game.

The 10-time All-Star is making a case for MVP despite playing alongside Kyrie Irving and now James Harden.

The Raptors defense against PFs has been bad this year, giving up about 50.20 DK points per game which is next to last in the league.

Durant is averaging about 37 minutes per game which is second in the league.

KD’s worst game of the season was Tuesday night against the Clippers with 39.3 DK points and only 13 shots. That won’t happen again. Start him with confidence.
