Cody Cook, aka @DProdiogy, here breaking down the NBA DFS 3-16-23 Yahoo Breakdown of the five-game NBA slate!
The Western Conference race to the playoffs is getting tight and I can't wait for our Thursday slate!
The Denver Nuggets as 12-point favorites are facing off against a tanking Detroit Pistons team with an over/under of 228.5 points.
A fighting Sacramento Kings team is headed to Brooklyn against the Nets as 2.5 points favorites. The over/under should be high scoring setting at 237.5 points.
Oklahoma City Thunder is on a three-game winning streak and looking to extend it against the Toronto Raptors who are 6-point favorites. The over/under is set in the middle of the range at 231.5 points.
Indiana Pacers are going to be in a brawl against the Milwaukee Bucks who just earned their 50th win.
Our final and late-night hammer features the Orlando Magic at the Phoneix Suns as 7-point favorites with an over/under soaring 228.5 points.
Our injury report lists Kevin Durant, Marvin Bagley III, Bojan Bogdanovic, Isaiah Livers, Bennedict Mathurin, Ben Simmons, Chris Duarte, and Isaiah Stewart as out. With those eight players highlighted players as non-options, let's look at the rest of the slate.
NBA DFS 3-16-23 Yahoo Breakdown
Point Guard - Killian Hayes, $22, Detriot Pistons
The Detroit Pistons are suffering injuries and the third-year guard has stepped up to start for the team. Killian Hayes is seeing massive minutes and the lead role on the banged-up Detroit Pistons team. The Yahoo price tag is staying steady in the middle of the range surprisingly. The spot-up guard will see plenty of playing time against the Denver Nuggets.
Other Options-Chris Paul and Spencer Dinwiddie
Shooting Guard - Mikal Bridges, $32, Brooklyn Nets
What a signing for the Brooklyn Nets who found a new star in Mikal Bridges. The guard has shined in his role for the Brooklyn Nets and is seeing more 50 fantasy point games than he ever has on the Phoenix Suns. This matchup will be fast-paced and offer many opportunities to accumulate assists. Â The former all-defensive player is in a prime spot at his price tag.
Other Options-Cole Anthony and Andrew Nembhard
Small Forward - Cameron Johnson, $20, Brooklyn Nets
I am hammering this matchup featuring the Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings. The former Phoneix Sun player has been $20 on Yahoo for 6 games. The star-studded duo of Cameron Johnson and Mikal Bridges have taken over this Brooklyn Nets team as future starters. The rebounding stats have racked up no less, and I am taking advantage of the price by far.
Other Options-Bruce Brown and Khris Middleton
Power Forward - Jalen Williams, $30, Oklahoma City Thunder
Is Jalen Williams in consideration for rookie of the year this season? It is certainly in consideration after the recent uproar over Jalen Williams balling out! The former Clemson forward is on pace for 40 fantasy points a game in the past 10 games. The points category has been on fire and I love the price tag that isn't rising on Yahoo!
Other Options-Aaron Gordon and Keegan Murray
Center - Eugene Omoruyi, $11, Detroit Pistons
Who would've thought Eugene Omoruyi would be an option to discuss this late in the season? I didn't, but it is valid. The big man has seen over 20 minutes a game since March 7th for the injury-riddled Detroit Pistons. In those minutes, the former Dallas Maverick has demonstrated why he deserves those minutes. Eugene Omoruyi is a value play on this slate that will offer us savings for the rest of the positions.
Other Options-Jakob Poeltl and Nikola Jokic
