Cody Cook, aka @DProdiogy, here breaking down the NBA DFS 3-2-23 Yahoo Breakdown of the four-game NBA slate!
Welcome to March and the NBA season is coming to a close while teams are battling for playoff spots!
The Toronto Raptors welcomed back Fred Vanvleet as 1-point favorites and are at the Washington Wizards with an over/under of 224 points.
With the Dallas Mavericks figuring out the duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, they are at home as 3.5-point favorites against the Philadelphia 76ers. The over/under is set at 228 points.
Earning a revenge win for Rick Carlisle with the Indiana Pacers against the Dallas Mavericks last game, the Indiana Pacers are 4-point favorites against the San Antonio Spurs with a 238-point over/under.
Our late-night hammer features the Los Angeles Clippers as 2.5-point favorites against an injury-riddled Golden State Warriors. Coming in as the second highest on the slate, the over/under is at 234 points.
Our injury report lists Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, and Monte Morris as out. With those four players highlighted players as non-options, let's look at the rest of the slate.
NBA DFS 3-2-23 Yahoo Breakdown
Point Guard - TJ McConnell, $12, Indiana Pacers
We are looking at a major value piece starting at the Point Guard spot and the upside is massive for the veteran. Tyrese Haliburton is questionable and could sit out of this game. The minutes are steadily appearing for the 6th man. If Tyrese Haliburton doesn't sit in this game, I still love TJ McConnell as a valuable piece.
Other Options-James Harden and Luka Doncic
Shooting Guard - Bradley Beal, $32, Washington WizardsÂ
The University of Florida alumni has had a fascinating season so far with the Washington Wizards. Bradley Beal has played a passive role including his teammates rather than being the star of the team. The nicknamed Dr. Dre has dished out assistable shots at a high clip this season. Bradley Beal has not seen less than 30 fantasy points in the past 4 games. With the lack of options this position offers, the role player on the team slides into our lineup easily.
Other Options-Paul George and Klay Thompson
Small Forward - Tobias Harris, $19, Philadelphia 76ers
The season has been up and down for Toby as the third option for the Philadelphia 76ers. Last game, Tobias Harris posted 38 fantasy points. It was a strong showing and this would be a great spot to smash again. The Dallas Mavericks' defense is nothing to boast about. Expect another strong showing for the Shooting Forward and this is an excellent buy-low spot. If we see Joel Embiid out, Toby will see a massive boost in the rebounding stat field.
Other Options-Kyle Kuzma and Buddy HieldÂ
Power Forward -Â Jeremy Sochan, $18, San Antonio Spurs
Injuries are piling up for the San Antonio Spurs and Jeremy Sochan steps up for the team on a nightly basis. The rookie is seeing steady minutes with over 27 minutes a game. A suitable comparison based on Jeremy Sochan's play style and interesting hair would be Dennis Rodman. The rookie is aggressive about grabbing boards and making sure the opposing team knows where he is on the court.
Other Options-Scottie Barnes and Josh Green
Center - Jakob Poeltl, $24, Toronto Raptors
The acquisition of the former San Antonio Spurs veteran has looked extremely well in his new home in Toronto. Since the trade deadline movement of the big man, he has seen his minutes rise quite a bit. Jakob Poeltl has consistently recorded over 40 fantasy points a game and the Yahoo price tag has not budged. Take advantage while you can before it is too late to take advantage of this deal!
Other Options-Mason Plumlee and Myles Turner
