Seven Game Slate

Jazz @ Hornets
Wizards @ Pistons
Warriors @ Hawks
Mavericks @ Timberwolves
Knicks @ Heat
Rockets @ Trail Blazers
76ers @ Clippers

Guards

Kevin Porter Jr., Houston Rockets, $6,000

I always get burned whenever I decide to play Porter Jr. but this matchup is hard to ignore. The Blazers at this point are just playing because they have to so they have no interest in playing defense. They have the second-worst defense in the league, only trailing the Rockets so this should be a high-scoring game.

As of recently, he has been in a shooting slump but he has the ability to catch hot in any given game, as he scored 29 points against the Grizzlies earlier this month.

Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks, $12,100

Luka had an off game against this same Timberwolves team on Monday but after resting and missing their last game against the Rockets he should be good to go.

Doncic leads the league in usage (37%) so he is pretty much matchup proof. The Timberwolves play at the fastest pace in the league and have an average defense so this makes him look even better tonight.

This game also has a narrative behind it with the beef between Patrick Beverley and Luka back in the bubble. At $12K he is by far the most expensive but has the highest ceiling on this slate.

Donovan Mitchell, Utah Jazz, $9,000

Mitchell has been on another level as of late, scoring at least 30 points in his last four games. This game against the Hornets will be a great matchup for Spida, as this will be a pace-up game and he has been letting it fly as of late.

He has attempted at least 20 shots in his last seven games. The Hornets allow the sixth most DK points to shooting guards this season, in fact, Mitchell had 37.5 when playing against the Hornets earlier this season despite a bad shooting night.

Forwards

Kristaps Porzingis, Washington Wizards, $8,300

A lot of people gave up on Porzingis after being traded from the Mavericks but he has been playing great since landing with the Wizards. While he probably will never live up to the expectations people had when he played with the Knicks but he can still have big games.

Since arriving in D.C he has averaged almost 21 points and 8 rebounds per game. Over the last three games, the Pistons have been playing at the third-fastest pace in the league so this will be a pace-up game for Porzingis and the Wizards. The Pistons’ frontcourt is undersized and they have been bad defending the paint so Porzinigis should have his way tonight.

Andrew Wiggins, Golden State Warriors, $7,200

This pick is a little sketchy but there arent many top forwards on tonight’s slate and this is a fairly good matchup for Wiggins. Steph Curry will be out for the remainder of the season, and the Hawks have been bad all season. Their team will be even worse with John Collins out and Wiggins should be able to take advantage.

While his ceiling will be limited because the Warriors like to spread the ball, Wiggins scoring and rebounding should be enough to reach value. I went back and forth between Wiggins and Anthony Edwards who I believe has the higher ceiling but also the lowest floor.

R.J Barrett, New York Knicks, $8,400

Barrett has been playing at a high level for months now and has shown that he is good enough for the Knicks to build with in the future. Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau is known to run his best players in the ground and he hasn’t changed, with Barrett being tied for first in minutes played per game this month (39.6). He is currently fifth in field goals attempted (21.7) per game during that span as well.

Miami hasn’t been playing the defense they are known for as of late and this season Barrett has had his way against the Heat, averaging 31 points and 6 rebounds. I like Barrett even more if Julius Randle is out again tonight, he averages 7 more points this season when playing without Randle.
