NBA DFS 8-11-20 FanDuel Picks

on

Welcome back to my NBA DFS Diary. Today I share with you my NBA DFS 8-11-20 FanDuel Picks.

Its been a week since my last article, and I have gained a lot more information. We have five really good games on today’s main slate.

During the NBA restart we are seeing a lot of good basketball being play, and not just from big stars like LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

T.J Warren of the  Indiana Pacers has been the MVP of the restart. He is averaging over 34 points and six rebounds since play resumed.

Micheal Porter Jr of the Denver Nuggets is looking like the player the Nuggets thought they were getting when they took him 14th overall in the 2018 draft out of Missouri.

What I Learned

The way I have made improvements is by examining the winning teams. After every contest, I would check out the teams that are in first place. What I have noticed is that the top teams are not usually superstar heavy. In fact, players like LeBron James and Anthony Davis have never been in a first place lineup in my contests.

Players that are in most of the first place lineups are guys like Malcolm Brogdon of the Indiana Pacers and De’Aaron Fox from the Sacramento Kings.

Between August 3 and August 8 Brogdon averaged nearly 37 FanDuel points with a mid $6k price tag.

Fox has been balling out and now FanDuel has had to raise his price to $8k.

I’m going to take my learns into my next contest and use my money wisely.

Here are four players that I am targeting on Tuesday that are talented and cost-effective.

Ricky Rubio, PG, Phoenix Suns ($6,400)

With Rubio’s team still in the hunt for a playoff spot he could be a great option to pair with Damian Lillard ($9,900) or Ja Morant ($7,400).

Rubio and the Suns are going up against a depleted Philadelphia 76ers. With no Ben Simmons and no Joel Embiid, the Suns should be able to run up the score.

Rubio has played well during the NBA restart but has not been very aggressive on offense. With just 14 points scored in his last two games, Rubio fills up the stat sheet grabbing rebounds and handing out assists.

With his cheap price tag and the fact that he is still playing for something makes him a great option to draft.

Deandre Ayton, C, Phoenix Suns  ($7,700)

Once again it is all hands on deck for the Suns, and with Embiid already ruled out of this game Ayton is going the eat. Ayton missed a COVID-19 test on Sunday night, had to be re-tested on Monday and couldn’t join the Suns until he was cleared. He was able to start the second half on Monday and finished with 10 points and six rebounds in 17 minutes. He will be fresh today. I would be very surprised if they don’t feed Ayton early and often.

Carmelo Anthony, SF, Portland Trail Blazers  ($5,400)

Anthony is playing some of the best basketball he’s played in a longtime avenging 16 points and almost seven rebounds a game. With just two games left and Portland in the playoff race, I’m not expecting him to be a victim of load management.

Melo is shooting lights out from behind the arc hitting at 47%. The Portland Trail Blazers are one of the highest-scoring teams in the NBA, so there are going to be plenty of opportunities for him to jack them up.

Dillon Brooks, SG, Memphis Grizzlies  ($5,700)

Brooks is part of a young and talented backcourt with Ja Morant. He has proven to be a good player on both offense and defense.

In Sunday’s matchup against the Toronto Raptors, he had 25 points and three steals.

Memphis is still playing for their playoff lives so look for Brooks to still be involved heavily in this team’s offense.

These are the players that I like heading into the final regular season games. The NBA announced that teams that are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs must leave the bubble by August 12.
