The NBA regular season is winding up, and so are the season-long fantasy leagues on almost every Daily Fantasy website. Nevertheless, the Daily Fantasy fun will continue, thanks to the NBA playoffs. The playoff is a different ballgame in the DFS season because the number of games played daily significantly reduces, reducing the number of players per roster. Also, the big players are no longer as rested as they would be towards the end of the regular season after a team's playoff place has been confirmed. So whether you are a fish or a shark, you need to add the right sets of players to your roster to stand a chance in your head-to-head contest or guaranteed prize pool.

Must-Have Players for Daily Fantasy NBA Playoffs

The first thing to consider at this time is the team's likelihood of making it to the playoffs. The Boston Celtics will finish top of the Eastern Conference. On the other hand, the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, The Milwaukee Bucks, LA Clipper, Dallas Mavericks, and Oklahoma City Thunder have already made it to the playoffs. The Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic are both expected to find a place in the playoffs.

So, which players should you add to your roster?

Jayson Tatum

Leading his side in points and rebounds, Jayson Tatum is one of the players who will always deliver for the Boston Celtics. The small forward recently received praise from LeBron James for his achievements since he was drafted in 2017. Tatum has made it to the Eastern Conference finals four times.

Tatum averages 27 points and 8.2 rebounds per game this season and will likely continue that run of form during the playoffs. Of course, his fantasy salary will be high, but having him on your roster is a good way to rack up points.

Kristaps Porziņģis

For a low-budget pick that will still give you points, Kristaps Porziņģis is one of your go-to options. The Celtics power forward averages 20.3 points this season and leads the Celtics in blocks with 1.9 per game. He also excels in rebounds with 7.1 per game and has good assist stats with 2.0 per game. His salary on most apps for Daily Fantasy Sports is relatively low, making him a good pick for more points.

Nikola Jokić

After leading his team to their first-ever NBA Championship in 2023, Nikola Jokić has been a talisman for the Denver Nuggets.

With another playoff up in line for the franchise, the center will be an important player for the team. Jokić averages 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 9.0 assists this season, leading his side in the three areas. Yes, his fantasy salary will be high, but you want a consistent player you can rely on. Moreover, almost all fantasy players will have him for main slates.

Brook Lopez

Although Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard are the two most important players for the Milwaukee Bucks, they will also need to rely on players such as Brook Lopez. The Center will be a good pick for budget and will still surely guarantee points. Lopez averages 12.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and currently leads the Bucks in blocks with 2.4 per game.

Anthony Edwards

You may consider Anthony Edwards when making your Daily Fantasy picks. The shooting guard averages 25.9 points and 1.3 steals, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves. He's one of those players who is reliable enough to rack up points on a Daily Fantasy night.
