Welcome to the NFL DFS Super Bowl LV Showdown Thunderdome!

Each week this NFL season, Scott Simpson (@NimblewNumbers) and Bo McBrayer (@Bo_McBigTime), the DFS writing team over at NimblewNumbers.com, faced off in a DraftKings (DK) Head-to-Head (H2H) contest.

This week, Scott brings you two special Super Bowl Showdown Slate builds.

NFL DFS Super Bowl LV Showdown Thunderdome

Just when I think I am out, they pull me back in. OK, honestly, one week without DFS and I was already questioning the meaning of life. Thankfully a weekend spent away at the cabin with my family cleared my head, providing me the much-needed clairvoyance to understand how much I love football...oh and also betting on football. Lots of betting!

Speaking of betting, this week the Thunderdome will be infused with player and game props as we build show down lineups for both a Kansas City Chiefs and a Tampa Bay Buccaneers victory game scripts. Pick your team and build your winning lineup using the pieces below.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Showdown Lineup

Tom Brady, MVP, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: $15,000

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently +3 underdogs in their Super Bowl matchup against (Bruce Buffer voice) THE REIGNING, THE DEFENDING,  THE SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS, THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS!!! So, if the Bucs plan on pulling the upset, "The GOAT" might need to make his 9th appearance his greatest.

If you believe then do I have a build for you. Stacks and runbacks are the hallmarks of my TB12 strategy, pairing him with three of his pass-catchers in Chirs Godwin, Rob Gronkowski, and Leonard Fournette.

Tom Brady will be passing in this matchup so I will be playing OVER 25 completions at -115. And though the Bucs would like to establish the run, Brady passed for at least 25 completions in 63% of his regular-season games and looks to be either trailing or in a potential shoot-out against the number one ranked offense in the NFL.

Leonard Fournette, FLEX, Tampa Bay Buccaneers:  $7,800

Leonard Fournette has arrived! After a slow start and inconsistent play during the regular season, Fournette has flourished in the playoffs, leading the Bucs with 48 carries for 211 yards and two touchdowns. I love OVER 50.5 rushing yards at +100 for Fournette this week. He is a beast who will not be tamed. He will be in most of my lineups this week.

Chris Godwin, FLEX, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: $8,800

God ChrisWin (did I do that right?) has been Tom Brady's favorite target this post-season with 28 to his name. Godwin is leading the Bucs wide receivers with 15.3 DraftKings points per game and should see plenty of volume again this week.

My favorite bet is OVER 5.5 receptions at -125. Even Vegas thinks this is gonna happen. You might as well also bet OVER 75.5 receiving yards at -115.

Rob Gronkowski, FLEX, Tampa Bay Buccaneers:  $3,000

Rob Gronkowski is making his 5th Super Bowl appearance and according to Tom Brady's Instagram, "He ain't, going nowhere."

Gronk priced down at $3,000 is just too tempting to pass up when he is teamed up with his best pal Tampa Tom as they ride off into the sunset of one more Super Bowl title. The script is all there for the writing and the bets are there for our cashing! I am playing OVER 28.5 receiving yards at -120.

Travis Kelce, FLEX, Kansas City Chiefs: $10,400

Travis Kecle is a "GROWN-ASS MAN" who was the best play on the slate last week, scoring 39.8 points. He was unstoppable catching 13 of 15 targets for 118 yards and two touchdowns.

Kelce is primed to explode again this week in a plus matchup against a Bucs defense that surrendered 8 receptions for 82 yards in their Week 12 tilt. I'm targeting OVER 7.5 receptions at -133.

Sammy Watkins, FLEX, Kansas City Chiefs: $4,200

Sammy "The Lizard King" Watkins is on track to suit up for Super Bowl and we all know that Sammy Watkin brings his "A-game" like once or twice a season. He's due to pop off like he did last year in Super Bowl 54 when he snagged 5 of 6 targets for 98 yards. I project Watkins for 4 receptions for 47 yards, which means the play is OVER 36.5 receiving yards at -110.

Kansas City Chiefs Show-Down Lineup

Patrick Mahomes, MVP, Kansas City Chiefs: $18,000

Patrick Mahomes has 6 out of 10 (60%) of the highest DraftKings scores for the Kansas City Chiefs this season. Tyreek Hill has two of them and Travis Kelce has the other two. Even though Mahomes is the most expensive player on the Showdown Slate, his floor is probably the safest and his ceiling is four to five touchdowns.

He's the building block of my H2H Showdown lineups and a must stack with either Tyreek Hill or Travis Kelce. I am leaning Hill in this build, but Kelce's value is through the roof as well. He has been Road Rules/Real World Challenge CT level animal this season, so you can't go wrong with him if you want to move away from Hill.

The bet that I like in this matchup is OVER 28 completions. The Bucs ranks 1st against the rush this season, giving up only 80.6 yards per game. The Chiefs exploited the Bucs secondary in their first match and if it ain't broke.....keep throwing it.

Tyreek Hill, FLEX, Kansas City Chiefs: $10,400

15 targets, 13 receptions, 269 yards, and three touchdowns. Those were the stats Tyreek Hill amassed in Week 12 when he last faced the Tampa Bay secondary. Hill has been impossible to cover all season long, but this was a next-level performance.

The Bucs secondary is hurting, with both Jordan Whitehead and Antonio Winfield Jr. getting in limited reps on Wednesday due to lingering injuries. A healthy back-end would struggle to keep up with Hill, a wounded one doesn't stand a chance.

I'm smashing the OVER for 93.5 receiving yards at -110. This bet has a chance to cash in the first half.

Mecole Hardman, FLEX, Kansas City Chiefs: $5,600

Speed kills and Mecole Hardman has speed for days and days. The Chiefs have utilized Hardman's speed, running him in motion for jet sweeps in both the Divisional and Conference rounds. Look for the Chiefs to scheme Hardmen into space against a Buccaneers defense that is trying to protect itself from being gashed by Travis Kelce and the aforementioned Tyreek Hill. This should leave plenty of space for Hardman to hit OVER 28.5 receiving yards at -110.

Darrel Williams, FLEX, Kansas City Chiefs: $5,200

Darrel Williams has rushed for 130 yards on 26 carries for 5 yards per carry this post-season. Look for Williams to continue to serve as the chain moving running back this week, getting between 10-12 carries. Vegas is putting a lot of stock in Tampa's stout defense against the run, setting the Williams OVER/UNDER at 28.5. The OVER is the play for me. Even if Williams averages 3 yards per carry, he still should be able to eclipse the 30 yard rushing total.

Leonard Fournette, FLEX, Tampa Bay Buccaneers:$7,800

"Playoff Lenny" is already on hats! And it should be after that touchdown rumble last week against the Packers that included escaping a tackle in the backfield, juking to the outside, executing the perfect spin move, and then taking two defenders into the end-zone for the score!

Leonard Fournette is a gamer and I want him as the primary pass-catching back for the Buccaneers. Fournette has been targeted by Tom Brady 17 times in the last three games. I'm taking OVER 3.5 receptions at -140.

Rob Gronkowski, FLEX, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: $3,000

It's become obviously apparent that I love me some Gronk!! How can you not after gems like this one surface that he changed his shorts and filmed all his off-season sprints on the same day and then just emailed in the old footage as if it was hot off the workout presses!

Gronk's played in four Super Bowls and has 23 receptions for 297 yards and three touchdowns. He's a baller and according to the video he and Tom Brady made, they ain't going nowhere, they cannot be stopped (base drop). I'm taking OVER 2.5 receptions at -105. Hopefully at least one of the catches is for a touchdown.
