Super Bowl LVI NFL DFS Projections (2/12 update)
The biggest question marks leading up to Super Bowl Sunday featured the tight end position for both teams. However, those questions have now been answered.
Update: Uzomah is expected to play after ripping off his knee brace during the Bengals pep rally.
Cincinnati Bengals tight end C.J. Uzomah suffered a sprained MCL in the AFC Championship game. Uzomah had five games with 50+ yards this season and caught a touchdown in four contests, including two touchdowns in Week 4 and two touchdowns in Week 7.
Despite the increase in snaps, backup TE Drew Sample only saw two targets, catching one pass from Joe Burrow for four yards. Sample has only seen more than two targets in a game this season twice, back in Week 5 (4 targets) and Week 9 (3 targets).
Update: Higbee was placed on IR and is out for the Rams in Super Bowl LVI.
Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee also suffered a sprained MCL in the NFL Championship game. Higbee also had five 50+ yard games this season and caught a touchdown in four games, but only once had two touchdowns in a game (Week 18). Kendall Blanton caught all five of his targets for 57 yards and help someone win $100,000 last week!
Blanton has now caught his last seven targets thrown his way by Matthew Stafford and gained 51 of his 57 yards last week after the catch!
Darrell Henderson (knee) is active and creates a three-headed monster at the running back position for the Rams. He has not played since Week 16 of the regular season.
