WHO ‘DEY NATION! It’s Super Bowl week, and I’m here to share my Super Bowl LVI Yahoo DFS Picks!
After a Cinderella run, the Bengals are in the Super Bowl. They had to face the #1 seeded Titans. They stared down the Kansas City Chiefs. And yet, they pulled through and won. Now they travel to Los Angeles to face the Los Angeles Rams.
The Rams traded for the Lions’ QB Matthew Stafford early last year. The hope was Stafford would give them a legitimate chance at a Super Bowl title. And so far it has paid off. Stafford has been able to show what he can do when surrounded by talent, something he didn’t always have in Detriot. Sure there were times he had good teammates, but no Lions team was ever as complete as the Rams 2o21 squad.
Draftkings Sportsbook has Los Angeles is listed as a four-point favorite with the O/U at 48.5. Despite the Bengals being consistent underdogs who pull it out in the end, I like this line.
The Bengals weakness is their offensive line, and that was on full display against Tennessee. The Rams have a better defensive front, headlined by Aaron Donald and Von Miller who will keep Joe Brrrr busy. However, Burrow is pretty slippery and can get out of a jam like it’s nobody’s business, so I can’t wait for this matchup.
Cincinnati has played admirably during their playoff run, but that is not to say they haven’t had some strokes of luck either. The Rams have an offense headlined by Stafford and Cooper Kupp, and I think that combo will be hard to stop, on top of what I mentioned about their defense. While I wouldn’t be surprised if Cincy won, I think it’s going to be LA hoisting the trophy.
Super Bowl LVI Yahoo DFS Picks
Tee Higgins – $24
The obvious picks are Cooper Kupp ($41), Matthew Stafford ($30), and Joe Burrow ($33). I will have exposure to these guys in multi-entry contests of course. But for this article, I wanted to give you something different. Ja’Marr Chase has yet to be truly stopped by anyone in the playoffs. But, if the Rams truly want to shut him down, that could leave the door open for Higgins. After an almost no-show in the opening round, Higgins has scored 13+ fantasy points in the two games since. Having Higgins in this spot allows you to get different with your lineup.
Cooper Kupp – $41
Just because I don’t have him in my superstar spot doesn’t mean I don’t want exposure to him. He was the #1 WR this year in fantasy football and has stayed dominant in the playoffs, scoring over 26 fantasy points twice. Enough said.
Joe Burrow – $33
If you’re using Higgins in the Superstar spot, you’ll want his quarterback too. Remember those “If you Give a Mouse a Cookie” books? It works like that. If you do one, you need the other. He’s had an up-and-down playoff run, but you never know when the big game will hit. The way the Bengals have been using their underdog mentality and turning it on at the right time, Burrow could put up a big game easily.
Tyler Boyd – $17

Another receiver that could be getting some extra work is Tyler Boyd. The Rams’ fierce pass rush will likely force some quick throws, which will go Boyd’s direction as the short area receiver. I think five to six catches for 50+ yards is well within his range. And, he always has touchdown upside.
Kendall Blanton – $14
All signs are pointing towards Tyler Higbee missing the Super Bowl. Blanton has stepped up admirably in his place. After snagging two catches for 18 yards and a score against Tampa, he followed it up with a five-catch, 57-yard performance against San Fransisco. The Bengals allowed the 7th most points to tight ends in the regular season, so he’s not walking into a trap. He offers a safe floor and potential touchdown upside.
