2018 Starting-Relief Pitcher Preview

Starting Pitchers

We discuss our draft strategy for the 2018 season for how you should attack your starting pitchers your drafts.

Next, we ask Dennis the following questions:

  1. How are you handling the top SP who missed significant time last season due to injury? Are you drafting/avoiding Kershaw, MadBum, Thor?
  2. What will Otani's impact be on the LAA?
  3. Darvish is now with the Cubs, Arrieta is now with the Phillies...Are you targeting either SP based on their new locale/team?
  4. What are your expectations for some of the games up-and-coming SP this year, such as Jose Berrios, Luke Weaver, Jon Gray/Jeff Hoffman, and Jacob Faria?

We then each give our over and undervalued players for the upcoming season for the starting pitcher position for the 2018 Fantasy Baseball season.

Relief Pitchers

Dennis starts us out discussing how he attacks relief pitchers in drafts.

We then ask him the questions below:

  1. How are you drafting your RP knowing that a lot of closers to start the season will lose their job?
  2. Do you draft the backup closer on a team that has a shaky primary option, or wait?
  3. How are you handling the Baltimore situation with Britton/Brach?
  4. What are you doing with Jeurys Familia this season?

We also get into holds vs saves and if you should be targeting those super relievers such as Josh Hader.

We then each give our over and undervalued players for the upcoming season for the relief pitcher position for the 2018 Fantasy Baseball season.

NFL Free Agency

We can't forget the NFL right now as Free Agency has started with a flurry of moves already.

We talk about a lot of the moves/signings that have occurred already including.

  • Kirk Cousins to the Vikings
  • Case Keenum to the Broncos
  • Dion Lewis to the Titans
  • Carlos Hyde to the Browns, to join Tyrod and Landry
  • Allen Robinson to the Bears
  • Jimmy Graham to the Packers

March Madness

We close out by breaking down our March Madness picks. We are just as bad at picking these games as you are, but it is fun and quite honestly the opening round of the Tournament is most exciting two days in sports all year long.

Even still, we leave you with our final four break-down and who our ultimate champion will be.
